i've only been to nyc once a couple years ago. we went the week after new years, and while it was a blast, i've been dying to go in early december and enjoy all of the christmas magic. this year in late november/early december (when i'd like to go) i'll be in the beginning of my third trimester (edd is february 11). would you brave christmas in nyc while 7 months pregnant?
fyi: nyc is about 6 hours from here.

No advice from me since I can't travel after 24 weeks but just wanted to say that I'm so jealous of that trip! I love Christmas time and have always wanted to go to NYC during that time because it seems so festive. I can't wait for the holidays!

i lived in nyc for 15 years and i think you will be fine. just do your best to go to things at off peak hours so you can avoid the crowds and DO NOT STAY FOR NEW YEARS! otherwise i think you will be okay.

Agree, come enjoy NYC! The holiday season is really fun, you can gaze at all the dept store windows and the tree in Rockefeller Center. Bundle up, it'll be cold and windy. I just took a 5+ hour flight (each way) last week and I was fine at 29 weeks. A little uncomfortable but completely manageable. Bring snacks while traveling and drink a lot of water if you are flying. Have fun!

NYC at Christmas time is pretty much the best thing ever. You should absolutely go!! The drive will probably take a little longer since you'll have to stop to pee and stretch, etc. but other than that I think you'll be just fine. Go see the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. Few things make me happier than watching the Rockettes!

I think that would be an awesome Baby Moon! Plus it will be cold so you won't have to worry about huffing around sweating while you're walking! I'm jealous!

As someone who grew up here, I would say definitely come if you haven't experienced it. It's funny that I actually try to avoid certain places during the holiday season. I personally get annoyed. 
The only thing I would caution you about is slippery and hard to maneuver sidewalks (especially if there has been snow or major rain) and the crowds. It can be tight near the tree and the windows especially on the weekends. Of course, that shouldn't be enough to keep you away if you really want to come. You should definitely come if you haven't been here during the holidays. I would also look into booking things early as prices are very high for hotels and shows and other things are harder to access. You'll have a great time!

I took a 4 hour bus ride (alone) to NYC at 6 months... and it was an AWESOME trip. So glad I went! I went in February, not Christmas, but it was still lovely.

I did Chicago in November at 31 weeks, and honestly it sucked. I was waddling and cold and miserable. At the very least, I recommend taking it a little easier than you normally would and minimize walking all over like many tourists would.

Definitely come enjoy the Christmas spirit in NYC! I was Due around the same time as you of this year and last Christmas, DH took me to Rockafellar to check out the tree, grab hot chocolate, and enjoy the night lighting. I was plenty big and he was very protective of the belly in crowds but it was fine. I took a belly pic by the tree and people were kind enough to stand aside so we got a decent pic!

I will actually be going to NYC in early December for a work- related weekend. I will be 33 weeks. I'm nervous about my coat fitting at that point, and how swollen my fret might be, and kind of bummed at being around all the constant drinking that weekend, but it's a great time to visit the city.

I went in January when I was about 23 weeks...if you're going to be doing a lot of walking (which we did-we walked from the world trade memorial, to canal street, to soho-i think) wear really comfortable shoes and drink lots of water! I forgot to do both and had to buy a pair of naturalizers on the fly...and then started having contractions because I was dehydrated! But other than that it was a fabulous trip and I probably enjoyed it more because I was pregnant!

Yes! You'll be feeling your best at the beginning of 3rd Tri. Just either take the train or fork over the money for taxis.
Christmas in NYC is so beautiful! Can't wait for when M's old enough for Rockefeller and the Rockettes!

Yes, you should definitely go! NYC in the Fall/Winter is the best. We are planning on taking our LO for Thanksgiving - we go every year - she will only be around 2 months old. You will have a blast!

Christmas is SO gorgeous in NYC. I LOVE walking up/down 5th avenue looking at all the window displays, there is nothing like it. And the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center, amazing.
I think that would be a really fun trip! If you start getting uncomfortable with all the walking there are so many other modes of transportation,
