What type of gal/guy are you?
We've been living in the city for 7 months now and realized its not for us.
Heading back to the burbs in a year or so!

A country-burbs hybrid! We live in a rural-leaning burb, and it's perfect for me. We drive past farms & fields on the regular, but everything we need is within a 5 minute drive. When we buy, I'd like to head a little further to the south of our suburb, and get some land.

Country but maybe mountains. Neither of us have lived in the mountains. I like peace though.

@photojane: oooo that sounds nice! Peace but still close to places.

Country/burbs. We live "in town" but we are surrounded by farms, but there are endless stores, restaurants etc just 5 minutes away. The city is only 15 minutes away, so we really have it all.

Country/burbs...we want land so that we can have some big pets (donkeys, goats, etc), but we don't want to have to drive far to get to a grocery store or restaurant.

@cheesetomywhine: It's great! I'm from the beach, but went to college in the mountains & then lived there with hubs for a year after we were married. Now we're back in our beachy hometown to be close to family. I love the beach, but I think I prefer the mountains!

Either beach or mountains. But I'm stuck in a more rural/suburb type town. I love beach towns for their vibe and mountain (specifically Appalachian) towns for their beauty and outdoor activities.

Country with a bigger town 15-20 minutes away is perfect for me.

Country! Our hometown used to be considered more country but has grown a lot over the last 5-10 years. I think it's more of a suburb now. I'd love to move back! ETA: I guess I'm delusional. It's the 3rd largest city in GA! What!?

Burbs. I need things to do, but I don't want it to be crazy busy.

We live in the suburbs but if we could afford a decent house I'd love to live in the city!

City but I wouldn't mind the burbs but DH is dead set against it

I live in the mountains. Even in the city, I'm still in the mountains! I like the mountains because there are a ton of outdoor activities, but I wouldn't mind moving into a real city or the beach one day.

If we could pick a particular neighborhood in a particular city, then we're city folks. Apart from that, I'm totally a beach bum that wants access to 'burb-like amenities. DH would prefer a 'burb in the mountains.

City for now. In a few years well move to the burbs for more space but we will never be far from the city. Dh's job will always be in the city anyway, but we need to be near everything. We'd like to move to a nice burb with easy access to the city I guess.

Grew up city/burbs, now live in the country, and I like it so much more...most of the time.

I'm inbetween all. I'm a 5 minute drive from the beach, an hour from the mountains, 10 minutes from the city and yet I sort of live in the burbs. I love it all!

I live in the city but I am a country girl for sure. City life is not for me!

Country girl in the country here, right where I belong. Most of the time I don't mind living so remote and far from everything, I like my peace and quiet.

County burbs. It's a small town with it's own hospital, pharmacy, dentist, banks, restaurants, cafes, etc., but surrounded by farmland. We're sandwich between 2 larger towns, so going to the movies is just 15 mins away.

I love living in the suburbs now for the convenience, but one day when we retire I want to live out in cottage country by the water.
