If you live in the city and usually take public transportation, how old was your lo the first time you took them on it?
I'm a little worried about germs. I'd wear her in the moby or beco, rather than bring the stroller at this point.

C was 3 months the first time we took her on the Tube. She was in the Ergo. We've been a bunch of times now, mostly in the stroller.

She was quite young but we don't have a car so needed to use it really. I would say a few weeks old.

On the subway in NYC, I think I took him at 2 months for the first time, right around the time of his shots (in a carrier too). Though if your LO is in a carrier, I don't see how many germs would get on them regardless.. Just don't go during rush hour!

At about 2.5 months (subway in NYC). It was December around the holidays...I wore him in the ergo and it was totally fine. No one came near us.

She was on the subway at eight days. Well covered in the bassinet. It was far easier than I expected.

On a train (MTR) about 10 weeks, the bus a few weeks before that. Mostly just because we could walk most places we went in that time frame, or it was quicker to take a taxi. The train was to an international flight, which I'm sure was way germier than public transport. Honestly I worry more now that she is older and wants to touch everything than I did then.

We ride the light rail here in Portland often, but we only started recently. I would have felt free to ride it from birth, though.

About 3 weeks in NYC. I was getting tired of paying for car services. That said, I wore him and we probably only took it 2-3 times per week.

We started taking the train with LO when she was about a week and a half old, I think. She was born in Tokyo and the train and subway system there is so clean, that I never really worried about germs. Plus it's the easiest form of transportation there.
