    Ladies I think you all will be proud of me.

    Last night I managed to cook up a big batch of quinoa (while washing bottles and pump parts) AND worked out in the living room for 25 minutes after LO went to sleep! And it didn't kill me!

    This morning I have packed super healthy food for the day and I did 10 minutes of exercise in the am (walking, and day 1 of a 200 squat challenge I found on pinterest).

    Whoop whoop

    I decided that life is all about CHOICE. So I'm going to choose to be healthy, fit, and positive.

    @swurlygurl: doesn't mean the rest of your day can't be healthy! try to pick something good for lunch or dinner! And just work out for ten minutes tonight at home (like walking, jumping jacks, squats, easy basic stuff). That's what I told myself, just 10 minutes a day! If I do more, great! If not, that's okay too. Baby steps
    You can do it!

    @petunia354: Thanks

    @blackbird: Inorite?! At least he's easy on the eyes!

    @cmomma17: WOOOT! And yeah, I totally agree about choice . . . losing weight/getting back to being fit is hard, but being unhappy with myself is also hard . . . I just had to pick my *hard.*

    @swurlygurl: @cmomma17: I agree! Just make a better food choice later in the day . . . all is not lost! No Guilt!! - what's done is done. Just move forward!

    @cmomma, nice job!

    @swurlygurl, it doesn't have to derail your whole day!

    @mslipgloss, so true. Both are hard. One just makes you happier in the long run

    @cmomma17: @MsLipGloss: @blackbird: I'm going to try to remember your encouragement at lunch today! A better diet doesn't have to start at the beginning of a day, it just has to START

    @swurlygurl: or maybe don't even think about "starting" and "stopping" just try to be healthy MOST of the time! It doesn't have to be so black and white. I know I had the bad habit in the past of saying, "well I had a cookie, I might as well have an unhealthy lunch, and I might as well not work out tonight, and oh there's some cake!" slippery slope! Just eat the cookie and move on!

    Now can we talk about how I planned out all my healthy food and I'm sitting here hungry at work. My boss brought in glazed donuts, donut holes, AND cinnamon buns this morning and sat them on the table right next to me! CHOOSING to be healthy. Choosing choosing choosing ..... so hard!

    @cmomma17: One meal won't break anything - promise! Enjoy the meal, and your DH *wink*, and then just pick right back up where you left off! No biggie!

    Oh, and awesome job with the donuts!

    @swurlygurl: All good choices count! All I am looking to do is to tip the scales in favor of the good choices! Everything in moderation . . . including moderation.

    @MsLipGloss: thanks coach! I squeezed in a few extra minutes of exercise and didn't worry about it! Avoiding the office goodies was a huge victory!

    Okay, I'm here to report my holiday hotties "thorns and roses" for the week!!

    Thorns:
    My eating was not great today. i had half a bagel for breakfast (but I did toss the second half) and we ordered brick over pizza for dinner.

    I've also indulged in quite a few treats over the week, had cocktails last night and wine tonight.

    Roses:
    We went out to dinner last night and I ordered a super healthy kale salad to balance out my cocktail. I ran 6 miles today as I am training for a 10 mile race in a few weeks. And, I made it to Crossfit twice this week even though I was exhausted after work!

    ETA: I just realized that I posted this on the wrong thread. Whoops! Hopping back over to holiday hotties thread now!! Sorry!
