The coding from some bag came off on my wooden countertop. I don't even know where to start with trying to remove it without damaging the finish on the counter top. Any ideas?

We had something similar happen this weekend but on our wood floors. My husband very carefully used a paint scraper and you can’t see any marks. You should also be able to use goo be gone, but try it in an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn’t take off the finish (we can use it on some but not all of our wood surfaces).

Citrus/orange oil is another option, but check it on a little spot first.

Not the same situation, but when we moved into our new house the previous owners had splashed what seemed to be gold nail polish across the floor. I carefully used a razor blade to scrape horizontally and was able to get it off without damaging the varnish on the floor.
