So the cleaning lady is coming in about 45 mins and to be honest I'm so exhausted from the 2 nights of cluster feeding I don't feel like doING anything but sleep.
I know the fumes of cleaning products aren't the best so I should leave the house. Right?! I'm secretly hoping someone says no. But I doubt that will happen!

I wouldn't have thought of the fumes thing, but now that you have mentioned it you'll feel guilty if you don't leave. Or could you keep LO in nursery with window open and door shut?

@cvbee: well she uses all the pretty concentrated / smell products so I assume it's not the best!
She does clean upstairs first so I could stay downstairs a little with Sienna and get ready/relax. And when she comes downstairs I could leave and go shopping.
She's here for 4 hours.

@blushink: We have the maids use diluted vinegar for counters and a steam mop for floors. Backing soda for drains works great too!

Yeah I would leave if I were you! I had my cleaning ladies use a steam mop for our floors and gentle products on surfaces. Next time I'm totally gonna have them use water+vinegar and baking soda!

I would just avoid the areas that she is cleaning. I always migrate around the house. We use mostly natural products, though.

I would just open the windows and close off the rooms you're currently occupying and I think it's fine. I don't think it's GOOD for you all to smell the fumes, but I don't think it's a dire situation especially if it's not every single day!

My cleaning lady is here now too! I don't like to leave because I have lo and the dog so its hard with both of them. She always cleans lo's room first and by the time she's done its nap time and she sleeps.

I always leave when my cleaning woman comes. I feel like we just get in her way, plus it's hard for us both to nap with her here. I have a key to my SIL's house which is like 1/4 mile from me, so we just go hang out there.
And my maid also primarily uses vinegar and water to clean.

i'm always home when the cleaning lady comes (she's supposed to come today hooray!). i think you should be ok if you stay away from the area she's actively cleaning.

I decided to go shopping. But clearly I won't be leaving Everytime shes here. I will mention the vinegar + water to the hubs but he has this weird mentality that if it's not an actual cleaning product... It's not gOod. Ha!
