Has anyone been on BC with estrogen and their milk supply was fine?
I make just enough so worried it “ could” mesa with my milk supple but I do not want to be on the mini pill by longer. I supplement also but Inwantvto continue to BF

@cake2017: from what I’ve read at two months pp your supply can still be pretty fragile so I would imagine that a combo pill would definitely effect your supply.

Why do you want to quit the mini pill? That would inform my response....

I'd look into an iud if you don't want to be on the mini pill. If your supply is already not fantastic I would imagine the combo pill would drop it some

@DesertDreams88: lots of spotting/bleeding. I can’t have this weekly or every other week.

@MamaBear87: I prefer a pill rather than IUD. I may just not take anything? I did his with my first and nothing happened u til I weaned at 18mo...ugh

@cake2017: I had spotting/bleeding every 2 weeks on the mini pill as well. I quit and charted to avoid. My period was back to regular once I quit the pill. It worked well for me and hope it does for you if you go that route.

@cake2017: I'd say if you're ok with another baby not taking anything would be fine. But if you aren't I'd for sure use birth control. I don't do hormonal bc so I feel you.
Were done so my husband got a vasectomy but obviously that isn't an option if you want more -
I personally felt like EBF, low frequency, withdrawal, and condoms were enough BC for me after LO1.
Felt the same way with LO2 for 9 months, then started the combo pill as I stopped nursing, and then and IUD at 1 year bc I was horrible about taking pills. Now after 9 months, I am getting my period every 3 weeks which sucks but nooooo babies.
I will says, I am really bummed I gave up breastfeeding at 9 months / let my supply drop, so unless you really don't care about breastfeeding, I'd be wary of the combo pill. If I could go back I wouldn't have made the same decisions.

When I went on the mini pill (also about 2 months pp), I started bleeding/spotting. It lasted on and off for maybe a month; and now I haven’t had any bleeding since (baby is 5 months—so none for at least two months). So you may want to give it more time.

@cake2017: is there any reason not to just use a barrier contraception till you’re ready to wean?
