I'm a flip flop girl but I need something to cover my foot in the fall/spring and warmer days in the winter. Suggestions for a good ballet flat under $75 that is comfortable? My favorite brands are Merrell, Born and Clark's - I am ALL about comfort.

Additional brands to consider: Geox, Cole Haan Nike Air, both available on 6pm.com from time to time.
Also, I hear good things about Sofft.

I buy cheap flats BUT the key to comfort for me is to buy the $8 insoles from Aldo. They make any cheap shoe comfortable!

I have a pair of dr scholls ballet flats that are super comfortable. They aren't the absolute cutest but still nice looking- on par with the brands you mentioned.

@mediagirl: I ordered a pair of Toms ballet flats last weekend. I've heard that they are super comfortable. I'll report back once they come in the mail! I think they were $84 though, so a little over your desired price.

@LOOCH: Just an FYI - Cole Haan and Nike will no longer be collaborating, so stock up on the styles that are already out

I am super cheap, but @mediagirl: you know that about me! I bought two pairs of dexflex flats from payless (around $20 each) and have been wearing the hell out of them in the last few months. They have a build in insole and are super comfortable. And, they are cheap enough that I can wear them until they die and then just get a new pair or two. I have them in nude and black, but they also have leopard, and a grey tweed with black patent toe.
I should add that I literally walk around the school almost all day long and my feet NEVER hurt.

@Meridian: I got them in the mail yesterday and wore them all day at work today. I love them. I usually get cramps in the arches of my feet after wearing cheap flats all day, didn't happen with these. They are super comfortable and feel really supportive, too. They're also a lot cuter in person. These are the ones I have: http://www.toms.com/womens/shoes/ballet-flats/brown-gisele-ballet-flats/s
