Liliana had her 2 month appointment yesterday. Theyre having us keep fortifying her milk (I still EP because she's a crap nurser) with a little formula (still just a teaspoon per 6oz, so not much), but she's gone up what seems like plenty on her growth. She went from off the chart to 5th percentile. Which doesn't sound like much, but they're comparing her to normal 2 month olds and she's only a month adjusted. I'm really confused that they're concerned. I asked, but they blew me off. Do you normally compare preemies directly to full term babies?
I really don't buy that her growth isn't on track. Can someone look at this chart and see if I'm just reading it wrong? She's 9lb13oz and 2.5 months, 1 adjusted.
This is the WHO chart for breastfed babies. I'm wondering if they're using one that's for formula babies (or both), on top of using what I would think is the wrong age. But maybe I'm just crazy. Anyone have any input?
