DH does daycare drop off and I do pickup and we aren't sure if we should buy one or two seats. A lot of parents at our daycare just have one and just leave it outside daycare so their SO can use it when they pick up their LO.

I would think having two would be easier since it's less hassle to move it from car to car.

We have two. I think it is better safety-wise, less risk of someone installing it incorrectly on a daily basis.

We have two. The extra time it takes to install it and make sure it is secure isn't that long but it can be a pain, particularly if you have to do it every day.

When the time comes we will have two. Luckily we were already gifted one by his aunt so we will only need to buy one.

We have 2. We figure m will eventually need one while Lala is stilling hers, so we got a second one. If you are planning for two kids close together it makes sense.

We have one for each car; if you plan on buying Britax seats, just be aware that they're huge and heavy and can be timeconsuming to install. That alone made us decide to buy two!

We're planning on buying another one soon (Britax Marathon). It'll be handy for emergency purposes too, in case one of us can't pick up our son at daycare, at least we know the other one has a car seat in their car.

Yeah, we're going to end up with two -- one for each car. I can't believe how expensive those things are, but it seems like having one in each car is the only thing that makes sense b/c I don't want to be lugging that seat around and installing it each time we switch cars.

We have one which matches the number of cars we have that can safely transport LO (poor DH really wants to take LO out in his miata). I didn't realize how common it is to have two and now recommend to everyone to register for at least one for their baby shower. It off sets the cost a bit. Buying two at once can get pricey.

We have two different models because our cars are two vastly different sizes.

We only use one car, the van, with LO. The other one is two door so it's just too hard to deal with. But we still ended up with two car seats! We just bought a lighter one to travel with, it'll probably end up in my mom's car.

In my head, once we have a LO, we'd put the nicer seat in my car since I have a babymobile and a less expensive, lighter seat in DH's car. That way most of the time they'd be in the better seat, but we'd have one for travel, DH, or if my parents were babysitting and needed to put a seat in their car. I have this weird fear that if future LO & I were in an accident, DH wouldn't be able to pick us up if we didn't have an extra seat- totally insane I know. I have a friend that has 3 LOs in carseats, and she was sent to the hospital from work & it was insanity trying to get someone to pick her kids up from daycare because those were her only carseats & her keys went with her to the hospital.

We're not there yet but when the time comes, we're going to have to get two - one for each car. It's just easier if it's raining or if there's an accident/emergency, etc.
