@tinyperson: Yeah MamaMoose said that she heard the Nextfit is eaiser when FF but I don't want to go FF for a while.
When putting the Foonf together, DH said that it must have been designed by Nasa. Haha. He installed it but we had to take it out on Friday night to clean after a whole sippy cup of milk leaked and started to smell. So note, no milk in the car seat, cause there are a ton of little spots for milk to get in. It was gross. But I had him show me how to install it, super easy!

@Smurfette: These posts always make me wonder what I'm doing with my Nextfit, because I've never had any trouble with tightening the straps, but I hear this all the time! Kinda makes me worry that our straps aren't tight enough and I just don't realize it.

@Smurfette: That's true, we do! We have the removable shoulder pads, and I did remove them to adjust the straps. So hopefully that means ours is fine.

We have both the Foonf and the Radian and I much prefer the Foonf. When we had it installed by the police department they installed it for me to show me how, uninstalle itd, and then made me install on my own and inspected it. It really isn't difficult to do! I feel like I had some visibility issues when it was installed in the middle seat but see fine with it installed on the passenger side.

We just installed the diono radian and we looooove it! Price point was good and I love the different colors it comes in (we got the purple!) DH installed it easily and we got the angle adjuster to add more leg room for the front passengers. I love how the footprint is so slim....we drive a honda crv and you can easily fit 2 passengers in the back along with the car seat in the middle!

@Smurfette: @wonderstruck: (sorry for the minor threadjack here!) If you call Chicco, they walk you through the instructions for changing the shoulder pads on the straps. You can cut the non-removable ones off and they will mail you velcro ones to replace them The straps are so much easier to tighten once you change those out!

We have 2 Foonfs and love them. . . everything is easy (watch the youtube video for the RF install . . . the paper instructions are very cumbersome . . . make it much more difficult that it needs to be!).

We have many, lol.

my car: Peg Perego. Love this. The quality if PERFECTION and it is very sleek. Also, it has a very high RF limit. I love, love, love it. Did I mention the leather trim?
We actually toyed with the idea of a Chicco Nextfit for my car, but omg, it is a mammoth. Like huge (in comparison to the PP which had the same ERF limits and looks much more sleek).

Husband's sport's car: Combi Cocorro. We got this because it is marketed as a small car seat for small cars. He has a 4-seater bucket seat car. So this was perfect. He says it is smaller than our Britax infant seat was. It RF until 33lbs, which isn't the highest by any means, but my LO is 18m and only 26lbs, so I am 100% sure we'll make it to 2+ years old. Also, it is all one color, very plain and cute, no frilly/tacky stuff going on.

My mom's car: I didn't want to get another $300 car seat (Peg Perego) for my mom's car only because she uses it maybe 2x a month. So, I got her the 1st Years TRUTFIT. Pretty good RF limit and it is very cute. It is a little on the big side, but she has a Honda Pilot and it looks like she has space in there (wouldn't be the case in my JEEP).

My MIL: I haven't bought it yet, but we're getting the Britax Marathon for her. I guess it is pointless tor review that because you don't have a tether bar.

We love our foonf! So easy to clean, install and DS seems very comfortable in it. We've had it installed in the middle and on the side.

@Weagle: but it's the law in Canada. Here, we have the option, but over there, it is by law that the tether must be used

This weekend was the first time we took dd on a longer drive in it (1.5 hours away to visit my parents) and she slept both ways, so I guess it's comfy! We have it in the middle but it's still high enough for her to see out the window, which is great.

I also love that they're made right here in Ontario!

@spaniellove: I just checked with my husband and I thought he bought the Radian for his car and it turns out he was originally looking at the Radian but opted for the Recaro Proride. Oops! Shows how much I pay attention.

@tinyperson: we have a Britax seat that's tethered the "Australian" way (anchored to a bolt in the boot of the car) and I've never found it a problem to use

There is an adjuster piece on the tether strap (to the left on the photos) so they can be loosened out of the way when getting LO I and out of the seat. Let me know if you want any more info!

We have the Diono Radian RXT and love it! DD is 26 months (24lb and 36") and still has plenty of room for RF. she now has to bend her legs but she doesn't mind it and we added in the angle adjuster so she's more upright which she likes.

One note on the rear facing tether - I think there may be a D-ring adaptor you can use to tie the tether to the metal floor track of the front seats to avoid having to do the slightly awkward rear facing tether for Britax (think it was discussed in another recent car seat discussion under boards).
