How much do you pay for an internet only plan?
What is your speed rate and do you like it?
What city are you in? (I think this affects rates?)

$60 for 12mps in Silicon Valley. It was $40 but we've had our plan for a year so it just went up. We also have a 100 or 200 gig cap, I can't totally remember.

$70 for 1gbps in San Diego. It's fast and the hubs is happy since he's a gamer. It was cheaper than our old plan of 20mbps

We pay $65/month for Hughes Net. Not sure on the download speed (not great) but we only get 10 GB anytime and we always run out. Also means no streaming movies/music.
Fiber optic internet coming to our area soon so hoping to get on that!
We are in rural Iowa.

$30. We can stream movies and all. I picked a lower mbps. Below 50 but I don't know the number.

I'll answer my own question:
$70 a month with Cox, in Phoenix, AZ, more than 50mbps but not sure on exact number.... it works great with 6 devices often on the internet simultaneously.
However, we gotta save some money so I'm looking at a $40 a month plan! That's everything included. It would be 40 mbps.....

Huh, I thought we had a great deal thanks to google fiber coming into town but you guys are making me think that maybe rates are just going lower all over!
We pay Comcast $50 for 50 down, 30 up, no cap, with the modem/router included.

See I was trying to cut cable but in order to stream stuff I'd need to bump up internet but with Verizon in NY suburbs it's like $70! Meanwhile my triple play with fees included and boxes is only $135 so I've been hesitant to cut cable b/c I don't see a big enough cost savings...

In rural Texas $85 a month for windstream 3mbps. It's obviously super slow. But it is the only internet company that supplies internet here (besides satellite) and that is the only plan. (It's unlimited)

Following. We are currently looking into cutting the cable cord, so I recently looked into internet-only packages in my area (quasi-rural mountain town in Colorado). Right now we have a bundle cable/internet/landline through Comcast which is $212/mo (absurd, but we had a much more favorable monthly bill the first year of our contract). If we downgrade our Comcast service to high-speed internet only (150 mbps), it would be $95/mo. I was surprised it was that expensive, but in looking around, Comcast is the only non-satellite internet provider in our area, so they don't need to offer competitive pricing.

We pay $67.99 for 50mbps with Cox. We do have a usage cap of 1tb but we have never come close to that and I work from home every other week and am constantly streaming from Netflix.

$52 a month, an hour outside of Houston. We have NewWave. We have more outages than I'd like but they're the only ones that come out here. I'm not sure of the speed but it's fast, just a lot of outages.

$60 for 200mb down 12mb upload. Bay Area. DH is a gamer so we can't go with a lower speed.

I think the normal price for decent internet-only is $50. I have been doing it this way for about ten years and saw it climb up past $40. I go back and forth between two reliable providers every few years to negotiate and get the best introductory rate. My introductory rate wore off six months ago and it shot up to $70 so I moved. The company now offers intro is as low as 50mbps for $24.99 for a month for one year. They used to have eight different levels to choose from. Now there are only about four. Back in the day, you could really negotiate but now it is so cheap it is off the table.

We pay $60 from Windstream for 60 mbps in small town Nebraska. We've had a lot of issues to start with it, but finally I think (knock on wood) we have consistent service. We stream all our shows (no cable/dish) with no issues.

It was $30, now it's 40/month. I think speed is 50, we don't game but multiple people can stream video fine.

Ours is $51/ month with a modem rental (would otherwise be $40). Not sure on the exact speed but we often have several devices on it with no noticeable loss of speed (rotating use of Xbox, 2 phones, 2 tablets, 1 desktop computer).
