K and I are accompanying DH on a last minute trip to Buffalo, and we leave tonight!
DH and I both have passports, but we don't have one for K - she is four months old. Is just her birth certificate enough to cross? I've checked the Border Patrol website, but I just needed some reassurance. Any idea if that's ok?

Are you driving? Birth certificate is fine for driving, but passport is required to fly!

@redsmarties: Yes just the BC is fine! Did you get the long form? I have crossed with L at the Sarnia/Port Huron border a couple times and have had no problem with just using the BC.
Oh and check your calendar, K is practically 5 months

we went from vancouver to washington state a few weeks ago with our 2 month old with just his BC. -
Birth certificate is fine. We crossed when LO was 6 months in November and that's all we needed. Have fun!

@LovelyPlum: I never think to go to canada for food. It's so not far, so it would work.

@sarbear: Thanks! I was concerned I was going to have to get a 6 week old a passport. And we went to Burlington-took us about an hour, and it was great!
