I'm sorta scared that someone is going to hit me, so I make sure cars stop or are slowing down before I cross the street.

I do. Some people here just walk across driveways, parking structures, etc without looking! Sometimes they have kids with them.

No way. As a new yorker, I feel like I have somewhat perfected the art of crossing the street against the light in the middle of the street with a car coming toward me, lol. Probably not smart, but I'm way to impatient to wait!

@hilsy85: @Andrea: Although, in NYC, it's really different. There are so many pedestrians. It's kinda sad but I like to walk between people so if there was a crazy driver, they would get hit first. Haha! OMG, I'm going to hell.
