What do you do for date night? My husband spent the weekend wih his best friend's family. He realized just how different things are for them now. We're really home bodies and don't go out much. Since his visit with his friend, he decided we need to have date night.
So, what do you do for date night? What should we do... before the baby comes?

Just go out and do anything spontaneously. I actually don't like date nights now because they have to be planned and you have to pay all this money for a babysitter. So I have to admit that I'd rather have date nights at home. We cook a nice meal, drink wine, and have romantic time. Haha.

We usually go out to a nice dinner and then maybe to another place for a drink after. We also like to go for long drives on the weekends to places we've never been to. We take our dog and find a fun place for lunch and then to run/hike with her after. Those are some of my favorite times with DH and I hope we'll still be able to do that when LO comes

Aw! Sweet! I like staying home so my date night might look different than yours. But yeah, a nice meal at home, maybe a nice drive out for some dessert, and then home for cuddles.

We've gone to the movies, drive-in, found a park to just walk around, browsed bookstores, things like that.

We go out to eat for date night. We try to hit the nicer, higher-end places that are not so baby/child friendly now, before LO gets here.

We usually do a nice dinner & pre-pregnancy had drinks. We also like to go mini-golfing, bowling, to the movies, browsing baby stuff, or if we are filling lazy. pick up food and bring it home and rent a movie and cuddle on the couch with the pup.
A weeknight we will go for a nice long walk in a park with the dog to just catch up.

We like to go to the movies. We also like to get take out, come home, watch a movie, and snuggle. Sometimes we'll go out for dessert. Another thing we like to do is go to the broadway shows that come to our city and try a new restaurant downtown after.

Aw! We go out to dinner quite a bit - usually once a weekend. But, we haven't been in weeks as we have been sick! We also enjoy takeout/movie nights on the couch (though it's not too adventurous!)

Since it's just the two of us right now and we spend most of our free time (that is, time outside of work, church and volunteering commitments) together, spontaneous outings aren't considered dates. We've defined "date night" as something planned and that includes things like going to the symphony or trying a new restaurant. We've been trying to have weekly date nights since we've been married, but trying to squeeze more than one a week since a LO is on the way.

If I were you I'd go to movies and to nice restaurants. For our date nights now we just go to an early dinner.

Go out, drink and enjoy the fact that you can nurse a hangover without having to care for a baby in the early morning hours. LOL
