The only vaccine I am going to be wary of is the Tdap, and it's not because I don't want to vaccinate-- when I got it as a baby it knocked me unconscious for 30 mins, so I will be discussing when/if/how the baby should get it, in case there is a chance LO could have issues. I am very pro-vaccines, and very pro-tdap, because whooping cough seems to be having a comeback... but, that's me and my baby! Good luck, these are hard decisions

We followd the AAP recommendations...our pedi recommended it and based on our research, we were comfortable with it.

Our ped said she supports either the AAP or a delayed schedule. She said delayed shots are nice because if there's a bad reaction it's easier to know which vaccine it was. She said the combined shots are good because LO doesn't have to go through multiple visits/shots/recovery times.
After doing the first round at 2 months, I don't know if I'd have the strength to do the delayed schedule. LO was just so sad getting the shots and I don't want to make him get more than he needs.
I think there are plenty of good reasons to delay, but doing the standard route has worked so far for our family.

We vaccinate on the AAP schedule and have had no issues. She's 9 months old, so we've had 3 rounds of shots already.

I'd just follow the AAP schedule, but I really don't see the problem with delaying them. What would the harm be?

We may delay.... we're actually meeting with the pediatrician today! My husband had a really bad reaction to a vaccine when he was little and was in the hospital for a week and almost died! So he is definitely wary of vaccines.

This is far in the future as we are still TTC, but we plan to use an alternate schedule. Although I'm very much in favor of vaccinating, I want my LO to receive only one vaccination at a time because of my history of seizures and adverse reactions to vaccines, and my neurologist telling me that I most likely had febrile seizures and my LO might too.

@travelingbrit: Sure! We delayed Hep B, and we're not sure when we'll get that. So far, we go every month and get a few shots. We haven't gotten the third Hib/PCV round yet because LO has been sick for about a month.

2, 4, 6 months- DTap, Rotavirus, Polio
3, 5 months- Hib, PCV
