I cried hard when J turned one week old. Hormones, and I was sick of people being in my house! I think I was just feeling very overwhelmed.
I was a little sad when he lost his gummy baby smile too, because his teeth came in fast and furious.
But other than that, every new stage is more fun than the last!

We were sad about teeth. I cried on Christmas but just because it was emotional to see him having so much fun, not because I was "sad." I am usually excited about milestones because I'm so proud. His first birthday is rapidly approaching and that is killing me. I think I'll be a wreck.

I cried the first time I took her to daycare, when I put away her newborn clothes, and the night before her first birthday. Recently, she started calling me "mommy" instead of "mama". I love how she says mommy, but it's a little bittersweet because I feel like she's really growing up!

@Mrs. D: Someone forgot to tell my five year old, because he still loves it when I pick him up!
