We knew for LO #1, but could see the next one going this way. We do not agree what so ever when discussing names.

We weren't 100% sure on the middle name but were on the first name. We almost did Elizabeth for the middle name, which was funny cause both our nurses had Elizabeth in their name.

@LuLu Mom: DH is being really nice and basically letting me pick but not having another opinion is really making me second guess the names..
@Smurfette: The middle name is the only one we have picked
out and that's been a for sure thing since before pregnancy.
@beebug: Everyone says we will know when we see him, but I really don't think we will..

We had a list of 3. When she was born, her name was the one that felt right. I knew right away that that was the one.

Both kids were team green. For DS, we had boy and girl names pretty set except for the boy middle name. And of course he came out a boy! So until day of checking out of the hospital, middle name was a heated debate. With DD we weren't sure at all on boy names but girl names were set and she was a she so no biggie!
Third one is going to be a doozy but we have lots of time to duke that out
Good luck!!

We went in with 5 names on our list. The minute he was born, even before I saw him (he wasn't breathing at birth, so he was taken immediately to the NICU suite in the room), I turned to my husband and said "He's D." Hubs agreed in a heartbeat. We just knew.

My cousin did! Then again, she was one of those "I didn't know I was pregnant" people, so she had less than a month to get used to the idea that she was having a baby and to come up with a name.

Yup, both times! We went with a short list of 3 per gender for Wagon Jr. and ended up naming him a totally different name... then for LMW we went with 2 finalists (which I forced Wagon Sr. to help me narrow down in the last weeks) and picked after she was born.

@polkadots: Yup! We were pretty sure of one boy's name, but were very undecided on the other name. In fact, we didn't name our boys until the next day because we had to see them and decide on names that fit.

Pretty positive baby #2 isn't going to have a name by the time we go to the hospital!

Yeah, we had a few names we really liked, but waited until we saw her to choose!

We took in two full girls names and 2 first/4 middle boys names to the delivery room.

When our daughter was born we had a short list of girl and boy names, and we had already decided we weren't in a rush to pick between them. We wanted to pick the one that seemed to fit the best. We woke up the morning after she was born having both independently decided on the same one during the night.

We were unsure. Most of the way through the pregnancy, we thought we were decided, then towards the end we doubted it and agreed to wait until she was born. We ended up using that as her middle name and picked another from our ~5 name shortlist.

We were totally unsure; and ended up being even more unsure than we thought we were. We had a list of a couple names, none fit LO so she was "baby girl lastname" for a few days. It's really no big deal if you don't have a name figured out before they are born

We had 2 names we liked. We decided on her first name pretty quickly but her middle name took a week!

Our hospital room had a dry erase board in it and while I was in labor we had nurses writing our baby names up there and then erasing them when we decided we didn't like it. D ended up being named on the day we were discharged.

@polkadots: yes, we were
. We had a boy name picked but went in with a few girl names...we had a girl! It took us around an hour after she was born to name her.
