I had pretty bad morning sickness with my son which (as awful as it was,) it was comforting because I didn't have it with my later 1st tri loss.)
I'm just trying to see what to expect.

Same time-ish for my 2 successful pregnancies and essentially no sickness for my 7.5 week loss. I think the nausea was worse the 2nd time around but B6 + unisom definitely helped me function. Good luck!

@peachykeen: Thanks! I can't believe I am almost wishing for morning sickness. My morning coffee is already starting to turn my stomach (and I am a coffee fiend.)

@crazydoglady:
don't freak out if it doesn't come, though...I needed diclegis for both this pregnancy and my later first tri loss, whereas there are plenty of women here who had MS with one viable pregnancy but not with another. There isn't necessarily a strong relationship between how you feel and how the pregnancy is actually going... bodies are so weird. Thinking of you and sending all the sticky baby dust.

I know you are right. (You were also right about the odds of pregnancy thing and that it didn't mean our bodies were broken. )
I guess I figured I didn't have morning sickness with my loss (my other loss was too early for m/s,) because it was a blighted ovum and my body didn't produce enough HCG. I totally get that correlation does not mean causation.
I am doing my best to surrender this to God. I was so anxious during early pregnancy with my son, and it didn't change the outcome.

DD (LO2) came later than DS (LO1). I think a lot of it was I didn’t have time to wallow in my morning sickness with her as DS needed me — I potentially started feeling crummy at the same time, just wasn’t as focused on it.
Each pregnancy is different and your body’s reaction to HCG can vary. I would just focus on reminding yourself that you are pregnant today and believe that maybe this time around you won’t be hit as hard with MS. Otherwise you’ll make yourself crazy.

My two pregnancies were very different. Morning sickness began at 4.5 weeks with DD1 (never threw up—just nausea) and lasted until week 10. At 8 weeks with DD2 all I had was complete loss of appetite—no smell aversions. Starting just after that I had what for me was bad morning sickness (hours of wanting to just lay on one side and pass out but no real vomiting).

With DD I was soooo sick starting 10 dpo. With this pregnancy it wasn't until like 8 weeks. The nausea was different, too. I only threw up twice with DD but I felt sick all of the time and with this one it came in waves but I was throwing up at least every other day.

Very similar, a little later with baby #2. Baby #1 started like 5.5 weeks. Baby 2 started more like 6.5 weeks. Otherwise the sickness was pretty similar in quality and severity. Although I had different food aversions.

Mine were really different. DS started later and was milder but lasted longer. Current pregnancy, started much earlier and was more intense, but then gone by 10 weeks.

Mine were about the same. The second time it started a little earlier (5 vs 6 weeks) and lasted longer.

@LBee: Thanks. I ultimately agree with you. I'm also curious if morning sickness typically starts around the same time.

With my first I had severe all day nausea (never actually vomited) beginning before 6 weeks. I’m currently pregnant and with #2. Is it bad that I can’t even remember when I started feeling bad? This time was more food aversions and horrible reflux/heartburn and less nausea. So in my experience the sickness was definitely different.
Thinking of you! Pregnancy, especially early on, can be such an anxious time because we have so little control over what’s happening. At least that’s how I feel and I haven’t experienced a loss. Big hugs to you.

My first successful pregnancy I started to feel
Crappy around 7-8 weeks but it was very manageable (never actually puked) and only lasted till 12/13 weeks.
This pregnancy it started earlier (5-6 weeks), was way more intense (puking and constant misery), and lasted till about 15 weeks (though it did begin to taper around 12-13 weeks).
Both boys.

I voted "other," but I guess I could've also voted "no." I didn't really have MS with LO1. With LO2, it started around 8-9 weeks and it was pretty bad. I didn't expect that!

I didn't answer the poll because while I have been pregnant five times -- one almost 4yo, three miscarriages, and my current pregnancy --I have never gotten morning sickness.
This time around I occasionally feel like I might be on the brink of nausea if I eat too much in one sitting. I am almost 10w so I think it is a hormone thing rather than space-related.
This pregnancy is twins so I would expect more symptoms. So far it has not been that bad (but I expect third tri to suuuuuck!).

My two pregnancies have been totally different. With my daughter, I didn't get any morning sickness at all. With my current pregnancy (almost 12 weeks) I started getting nausea & vomiting at 5.5 weeks and it lasted until about 11 weeks.

I might not be the norm but with my 3 losses, I felt so much sicker than my 2 successful pregnancies. For me, the less symptoms are actually a good sign.

No - with my son it started late, and was very mild - basically, I couldn't look at vegetables, but ate everything else like the Hungry Little Caterpillar. With my daughter, it started almost right away and I lived on bread, tea and candy for a few weeks. I didn't throw up, but actually lost weight at first.

I didn't answer the poll but I've had two pregnancies (one successful) and did not have morning sickness with either. I'm kind of hoping I do have morning sickness for reassurance if I get pregnant in the future (which seems ridiculous).

Morning sickness started much later and was much more mild for my second.
