We are still on our first pregnancy, but he pretty much let me take the lead. We were on the same page anyway, but he let me dictate when we would start telling people outside the family and how.

Second baby is exciting, but I do wonder if other people aren't as excited for you (like, the general you, not you personally!)

They'll think it's exciting! And def its better hearing in-person than FB

My cousin told me personally about her first, sent a mass email to family for the second, and I didn't hear about it till FB for the third (and she still hasn't made any effort to let me know she's planning to adopt a fourth; her sister told me). We have gotten less close over that time, since we were in very different places in our lives, but I'm still a little hurt by her not telling me or even including me in a family announcement. So I would definitely tell closer friends/family personally if possible.
