My daughter is almost 6 months and I was considering getting a couple spares but wasn't sure if it's okay to keep using her 0-6 mo or if people usually size up to 6 mo +? She seems to like the ones she has just fine! (MAM)

Good question. I'm using gumdrops 0-3 mo pacifiers and they are 3 months now. I'm wondering if I should switch to the 3mo + ones soon.

We sized up but once LO was big enough to have a preference, she preferred the first size!

Sized up, and that's when LO became a binki addict!!!

We sized up (mam). I read an article where a toddler choked on a 0-6m soothie and I bought the next size that day.

MAM user here too. We sized up to the 6+ months when T was 4 months or so. The newborn ones kept falling out of his mouth.
He's almost 2 and still using them.

@winniebee: oh no! So far it's mainly just part of her sleep routine... how do we avoid the addiction??

@Littlebit: Oh gosh, I hadn't thought about it as a choking hazard! She never took to the soothies but I am guessing it could happen with any kind- ??

@ldh112: hide them during day! He just finds a random one and grabs it and loves it!

We sized up a couple of times. I think we are currently on 9-12 month or something like that. He is 15 months and I know they make 12+, but since I am trying to discourage the paci I don't want to buy more. He seems fine with them for naps and bed.
I will say though that the other 2 times we sized up he seemed more contented with it. Probably more sucking satisfaction since it's a bigger bulb?
We use DrBrowns preVent.

We sized up at 7 months, also MAM. We only give her access to a pacifier for naps and bedtime.

I'm sizing up for my 6 month old mainly because I needed to fill his sticking. LO1 never took one so I don't know what to expect.

I never sized up! I never even though about it. And now I def don't want to since I want to wean her in the near future!

@snowjewelz: Yeah that's what I am wondering about... the only reason I am buying more is because she will be going to daycare once a week (going back to work part-time) and they asked me to bring a spare. It's only a few bucks so I may stick with the same size and reevaluate in a couple months. She typically just uses it for sleep and occasionally in the car. That reminds me I need to tell the daycare this as well!

DS2 is 6 months and I put some of the 6+ month size from Avent in his stocking. But I think they're too big for him right now. He just spits them out but will happily take the smaller ones. I'll give it some time.
