Already starting to think of DS2's birthday. I was thinking of a Where the Wild Things Are theme maybe. Not sure. I'm not real Pinteresty so it'd mostly be for the invites and favors. What did you do?

DS is only 4 months old but I have already decided and started planning his 1st birthday. It'll be Finding Nemo/Dory themed because his in utero nickname was Nemo.
I already bought some sticker books (for favors) and cupcake toppers I found at the Target dollar bin

We called LO1 our "Baby Beluga" when I was pregnant so her party was Baby Beluga themed.
This time, with LO2, we're going to do a pumpkin theme because she was born in October and we're super creative.

DS2's party is in a few weeks, and we're doing an under the sea theme. It's mostly just for the cake, invites, and favors. I'm also not crafty, and have zero time to get stuff like that set up. So whale plates and octopus cups is all this kid is getting!
DS1's theme was safari like his room. It was just easy, so we went with it.

For K's 1st birthday, we did a Woodland animals theme and we had the party at a nature center. For her 2nd birthday we did an under the sea theme at our home.

We're doing a flower garden theme. That's totally appropriate for a fall birthday.

I tried to do Classic Pooh, which only sort of worked because my dad hosted the party and decided to "supplement" my decorations with stuff that he had bought, including like 3 different sets of plates and cups that had completely different colors and characters. Oh well.

We did a sports theme. It was mostly adults/family so the theme was for invitations, banners/decorations, and the cake.

We had a build a bear party. It was fun and cute! They had cupcakes with little bears on them. They were able to add a blanket to them and kind of build their own bear cupcake. My son didn't really care about that part. lol

@peaches1038: I'm thinking of doing that theme for DD's 1st bday! Just using girlier colors like coral and teal/mint.
For DS's 1st birthday, we did a safari theme. It was cute and fun!

@travellingbee: These are great, creative ideas! We are just doing a primary colors "theme" since it's the day before Thanksgiving and we will be out of town with relatives! Balloons, funfetti smash cake, rainbow leggings (already have those ;)).

For my son, we did a Sunshine theme and it turned out really cute:

@wrkbrk: We got a lot of the stuff on etsy and then just matched balloon and streamer colors to it!
