@MrsKMM: are you taking unisom/b6? It has really helped me. If you are uncomfortable taking it without seeing a doctor first, maybe you could call your midwife/OB office and ask to speak to a doctor or nurse about it before your appointment.

lol! @jennyg
@78h20, Hmm, I'm not, but I appreciate the suggestion! Is there a recommended dosage? Does it help with nausea?

@MrsKMM: yes, it has been a total lifesaver for me in the nausea department. I have taken it almost every day since about 4 weeks. The one day I didn't take it, I threw up every couple hours. I wish I had taken it with my last pregnancy, as I was miserable for months. It is the same med as what is in Diglegis (Cat A med FDA approved for morning sickness). Unisom is Cat B, but only because it does not have the same volume of research in pregnant women as Diglegis does. My OB said that she feels it is really Cat A though. Just make sure you get the tablet (doxy...something) and not the gels (which are the same thing as Benadryl). You want to take 1/2 tab at night to start (12mg). Or you could even start with even less if you are worried about being groggy in the morning...but after a few days, the grogginess isn't an issue. Diglegis is 20mg and extended release. They recommend 20 mg of Diglegis at night to start, max dose 40mg at night, 20mg am and 20 mg afternoon if needed.
Since I've been taking the Unisom for 5 weeks now, I take 3/4 tablet (~20mg) at night and about an 1/8 of a tablet in the am and again in the late afternoon if needed. Like I said, it has made a HUGE difference for me. I still feel a twinge of ickiness, but I can function at work and am not at all miserable. I'm also not throwing up much at all (maybe 1-2x per week). I take 25mg of B6 in the am and pm as well. Good luck!

A (older) co-worker asked if it was planned, which isn't necessarily negative, but I did find it odd/rude.
My parents were happy but shocked, and you could see my dad counting backwards in his head to see if we were pregnant at my wedding (we got pregnant 2.5 months after it!)
Everyone was generally super happy and excited, though.

I work for an accounting firm and with DD, we tried for over a year with lots of stress and disappointments. Well, when I did finally get pregnant, my due date was end of May (after our busy tax season). When I announced at work, almost all of the partners said something to the effect, 'that's awesome that your due date won't interfere with tax season!!'. Yes, I planned on having difficulties conceiving for over a year and made sure to get knocked up to not interfere with you making money..<sarcastic>. Thanks for the support! jeez
