I bought a one piece ruched bathing suit but hardly wore it last time.
I'm just going to buy a bigger bikini top to go with nonmaternity bottoms for a trip coming up in a few wks (I'll be 28/29 weeks).

I did not. I had one vacation at 20w and just used a regular tankini. I liked how my belly stuck out
blogger / pomegranate / 3300 posts
I did because my twins were due in August and I was giant. Only maternity ones covered my belly.

Sort of? I bought maternity bottoms so I could get more coverage on my butt but wore my regular top.

I just wore what I had. They were two pieces so it really didn't matter how big my stomach got
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I did not... I had a tankini set where the tankini is flowy.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
I wore my regular ones last week. I really need larger tops though.

I got one to wear to an aquanatal class. I only went 3 times though, oops.

Yes I was in my 3rd tri in the summer so I wore it at the beach, pool, and even those first few months post partum. It was well worth the $$
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I had to, at 32 weeks. I bought one at a clearance rack for $15. I'll probably wear it PP this summer.

With my first LO, I just bought a bikini in a larger size to accommodate the growing chest, and wore that throughout my pregnancy.
With LO2, I bought a maternity tankini as I was swimming every day with a one year old (we lived in the tropics of Australia where the only thing you can really do every day is go swimming!) and had a few too many close calls with indecent exposure whilst wearing a bikini, courtesy of DD1 of course!

No, I wore a ruched one piece which is now totally stretched out. We don't swim that much but I will wear that one if I need one this summer.

I was due in August and just bought a bigger top to wear with my bikini bottoms.

I did-- a one piece from Motherhood. We didn't go on our babymoon until I was 37 weeks, and there was NO WAY I would fit into a flowy tankini.

I just got one size larger in the top in the suit I already had on clearance since I bought it in the fall.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
Nope. I bought this suit: http://m.target.com/p/women-s-flyaway-tankini-top-merona/-/A-15922726
Another bee recommended it to me and I really liked it for my babymoon last time.

I just stayed outta the pool.
This time we are living at an apartment complex with a nice pool, so I might. Being due in Oct means I'll be bigger over the summer so I don't know how I'll feel about a regular swim top.. But to others who are confident enough to do it I don't see anything wrong with that either!

I just wore my regular bikini. This was at 25 weeks and I barely had a bump so I just wore the bottoms under the bump.

My parents usually close their pool at the end of September. I'll be nearing 30 weeks by then. I should be able to make some of my two-piece tops and bottoms work, but I don't know what I'll do about a tank suit for lap swimming. Guess I'll wait and see how far my Speedo stretches (knowing that I'll have to get a new one for next summer).

I got an ugly XXL tankini top from Target for sitting in the tub during labor, but that's it
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
I looked for a flowy tankini but didn't find anything I liked. So I bought a maternity tankini from target and just used my regular swim bottoms. We have a pool so it got a ton of use!

I planned to wear one of my regular two piece bathing suits, but I didn't anticipate on my boobs growing as much as they did. I just bought a maternity suit for our babymoon next week, and I'm so glad I did... so much more comfortable and less constricting!

Nope I wore a bikini and I was huge in summer since I had a late aug due date.,

I did and it was awful. Trying to debate whether I want a one piece this year, or if I should just get a bigger tankini top.
honeydew / 7463 posts
I did just because I felt weird in a two piece and my boobs were enormous. So it was better for me to get a couple of one pieces. One from PITP and one from Old Navy.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@coopsmama: so cute! Def going to try it on at target!

I wasn't huge, due around Thanksgiving but by mid July my usual 1 piece looked crazy so I bought a maternity tankini at Kohls. It was cute and comfortable. I didn't spend that much so it was fine for the few times I used it.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
I've already bought two tanks from Motherhood ($24) and bottoms from Target. Planning to spend lots of time in the pool this summer!

I'm 14 weeks, so I'll be pregnant allll summer - I just bought a maternity suit at Old Navy because they are 40% and I figure it will be good to have one at the ready. Old Navy is my go-to for bathing suits anyways!
pomelo / 5607 posts
I got one and I love it! I'm actually rather sad that it's maternity because I want to keep it. Maybe it would still work without making me look pregnant when I'm not. It's off amazon, so I was worried about the fit, but it's great. (Picture is from about 12 weeks, I don't have a recent one.)

I just bought a bikini, one size up.
We are going on a babymoon to mexico soon and I got a couple bikinis that are pretty supportive. but my boobs are smaller pregnant than when I'm nursing! So the bigger bikinis will get lots of wear post baby.
nectarine / 2173 posts
No, but the last time I swam was around. 22 weeks. I just wore the bikini I already had.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@HabesBabe: you look so cute!!' And seriously, there is no "fitting into something a size larger" for me, ever!!!! The maternity ones have huge boob areas, so there's always that! Even maternity isn't long enough for me in the third tri!!
grapefruit / 4355 posts
Kind of. I got a maternity swimsuit top from a friend and I'll be pairing it with bottoms that I already own. But I didn't actually spend any money on anything.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
I did, and I just listed both on the classifieds. I wore them on our boat when I was about 30 - 35 weeks pregnant, I really didn't want to cram myself into a 2 piece (no way the bottoms would've fit!)
