During pregnancy, did you gain weight everywhere or were you lucky enough to only gain in your belly?
I'm asking because i'm curious, and if I should hold off on maternity clothes because my legs will get huge lol

I got bigger in places other than my belly . . . they are slowly getting back to normal (I am 7 mos. pp). It's not such a bad thing, gaining in places other than just your belly . . . I didn't get any stretch marks.

Not really, I gained weight in the places where I normally gain weight, my butt and thighs, if that makes sense, lol.

I've gained about 35 pounds, and was pretty small to begin with. I gained in my butt/hips in addition to the belly & boobs. I got some size 2 pants from Gap early on, and they still fit. I did have to buy bigger underwear.
My thighs touch now- they didn't before. I think this is both due to weight gain & just general shape change.

I didn't *think* i was getting that much bigger in other places, but I was - I tried to put on a pair of shorts when I was like 22 weeks (didn't really have a belly yet) and I couldn't get them over my knees! People say I'm "all belly" but my hips have definitely expanded. That being said, all the maternity clothes I bought around 20 weeks still fit fine in the butt and legs (I'm 34 weeks and have gained around ~23 lbs so far.. not so bad, but my butt is still wide!).

With my twins everywhere, with my singleton it was belly, butt and hips not really my legs.

I gained 30 pounds, and I swear it was all in my stomach. However, this led to massive disaster stretch marks and stretched skin on my stomach. Win some lose some

@MrsTiz: my legs (thighs) and butt grew. They all went back after pregnancy but I would definitely buy bigger pants if I were to do it again. The people at the maternity store LIE, too. They told me the size M pants looked good...I ended up needing the XL at the end...

@mediagirl: I bought some maternity pants, and didn't really think about it because they fit me perfectly now in the thighs..but now i'm scared they won't fit when I actually need them!

I've expanded everywhere, but I think I lot of it is swelling!! It's out of control. Minimal stretch marks though, so it's not necessarily related.

@MrsTiz: that's what I did, too! Mine were work pants, though so they had very little stretch in them to begin with. Everyone is different, you may get lucky!!

Yes, my whole body has gotten bigger First it was my arms, then my thighs, and now every part of me looks big. It blows

@mediagirl: I highly doubt it, I've got too much thigh as it is, so i'm just going to get a L shorts instead of a M. womp womp.

I mainly gained in my belly, though other parts got a little bigger too.

I was basically all belly but my thighs and butt did expand, ahem. It's now 4 months later and I'm thisclose to my pre-preg weight. Jeans are just about comfy again!!

I gained weight all over, but that's how I normally gain weight - if that makes sense

I gained weight all over too and I thought for sure I'd be one of those cute preggo ladies with just a basketball bump..I was sooooo not! lol

I'm only 24 weeks, so who knows what 38 weeks will look like, but so far I'm mostly belly and boobs. In general when I gain weight, it's around my midsection, so I'm not surprised that that is where it's going now. But I only bought things that are stretchy or a bit loose in the legs anyway, since I'm sure they will expand some. So far, the jeans I bought at 10 weeks are still my favorites though!
I'm due at the end of July, so I figure, by the summer, when I'm getting really big, I'm not going to want to be wearing jeans and long pants anyway, so I decided to go with things I expected to fit through, say, 30 weeks. Past that I expect to be in dresses for the most part anyway. I also only buy a little bit at a time.

I am almost 5'8" weighed 136 at 6 wks pregs, gained 38 lbs and weighed 174 day of labor...I carried well and all in my belly, but I know I got thicker all over my body. thighs/arms/belly were my areas. But I also fit into all my prepreg clothes before I hit pp weight. So I think it's all variant on diff body types.
Also, I noticed that I felt better and looked better buying regular clothes in bigger sizes rather than going all maternity!

I gained it in my stomach and face for both pregnancies. I had more swelling with my first so I wore more dresses.

To other people it looked like I only gained in the belly but I did gain a little bit everywhere. Butt, hips, thighs, arms, a little in the face. It wasn't too noticeable.

People tell me I've only gained in my belly, but I can tell I've also gained a little in my thighs, my upper arms and, especially nice, is the back fat I've developed. Haven't gained in my face.
I'm getting so eager to wear non-maternity clothes again, but am terrified about how long it will take to be able to fit into my regular clothes again!

Both times I've been all belly. Pregnancy sucks the fat from the rest of my body and moves it to my belly, then releases it back again after I give birth. Lol. People tell me I look better pregnant than not pregnant!

@MrsTiz: I gained quite a bit in my thighs, but I still wore a small in maternity pants. They are designed to fit you through the whole pregnancy, so you might be ok.
