A mild version from 6-8 weeks then it got worse. All day nausea. Then around 12ish weeks, I think, I started throwing up. Mostly first thing in the morning and around dinner time. It sucked big time but wasn't what I would call severe. I didn't end up dehydrated in the hospital or anything. It ended at exactly 20 weeks..... and then the killer heartburn kicked in.... sigh.

This is my first but morning sickness started before I poas, got terrible at 6.5 weeks and I am now 25 weeks and still throwing up and on medication. I pray I am one of those who gets lucky with subsequent pregnancies but I am not holding my breath...

I've only been pregnant once, but no morning sickness. I did occasionally have aversions to smell (like when a smoker sat next to me on the bus -- which I don't like generally, but it was worse when I was pregnant) but it never made me nauseated enough that I thought I'd throw up or anything.

I said I had mild MS. From about 6-14 weeks I felt nauseous pretty much all the time, but I never actually puked.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
Since I've only been pregnant once, I don't know if this is mild or moderate. I was nauseous all day every day for 10 weeks. I came close but never vomited.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
I had the all day nausea and some throwing up with both pregnancies. It's not so bad for one day...it's the fact that it lasts for weeks and weeks and all day long. I had it from weeks 6-20 and then weeks 5-16.

I had severe morning sickness with my 1st. I threw up multiple times a day from weeks 6-22. It was a nightmare. With my second pregnancy, I had mild/moderate morning sickness from weeks 6-15. I only threw up once or twice a week with that one but still had pretty much constant nausea. It just wasn't as bad.

Horrible for my first. Lots of puke for 24 weeks and then a couple of times a week until the end. Pretty mild for the second. Some puking, a fair amount of nausea, but a breeze compared to the first time around.

None for either pregnancy. Never even felt a hint of nausea with DD1 the entire pregnancy, and with DD2, I had two mornings where I felt a bit queasy, but it went away as soon as I drank a Berocca (Vitamin B6 drink). Other than that, nothing. My mom never had any MS through three pregnancies so maybe there's a link...

I had bad morning sickness - from 6-17 weeks. I would throw up from when I first woke up to about 3-4pm and then feel nauseous the rest of the day. I quit my job because I literally sat beside the toilet or lay on the couch with a bucket all day every day. Had to get IV fluids and anti-nausea meds didn't work. Really hope I don't get it as bad when I get pregnant again.

I voted "slight," but I guess my question is what you personally define morning sickness as? Just throwing up, nausea and throwing up, or nasuea alone?
I had morning nausea from about 5 weeks on, threw up a handful of times between weeks 10-15, and now in my second trimester still have waves of nausea.

With #1 I was throwing up all day everyday from weeks 6-10. I'm 9 weeks with #2 and I had a few days of nausea, but most just really bad food aversions. Thank goodness I'm not sick (so far) this time!

I had nausea from about weeks 6-10. There was one time that I gagged but I have severe emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so I held it in (gross, I know).
I am very very lucky to have doctors as best friends, and they both prescribed me zofran as a birthday present! I only ended up taking it twice throughout those 4 weeks, when I was so nauseous I didn't think I'd be able to teach without throwing up. It worked wonders for me both those times.
Week 10 when the nausea let up, i also started taking long walks outside every morning after forcing down some food - can't say if that's the reason the nausea stopped, but it definitely helped to get fresh air every morning.

I voted moderate. I never threw up but I haven't thrown up in a long time. I was SO nauseous for 8+ weeks.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
I was severely sick all 9 months, both times. The second pregnancy was worse and I needed IV fluids, took Zofran, and struggled to gain any weight. Pregnancy for me, was a horrible time.

I would feel slightly nauseous in the morning before I ate breakfast, but it almost always went away after eating. I threw up once before I ate. I usually was snacking all day long (like I never went more than hour eating in the 1st and 2nd tris) so that could be why I didn't really feel sick throughout the day. If I didn't eat I usually didn't feel well!

None with all 3 pregnancies. I had some nausea with S but that's it.

I pick moderate even tho it probably wasn't that bad compared to other people! I was nauseous all day long during 1st trimester. Fortunately never threw up! But thinking back, it was still pretty miserable!

During my pregnancy, I had very little - if any - nausea. Same for my mom, so I think I just got lucky genes.
With my CP, I had extreme nausea before I even POAS. It faded as my test lines did.

Yep... weeks 6-8 were pretty bad. Then it came back again in the last few weeks.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
I felt nauseous from 5w4d to 20 weeks on the dot. I threw up every couple weeks but I constantly felt on the verge of puking all the time. I have a thing where I won't let myself throw up, though.
ETA: I voted moderate because I label severe as HG.

As long as I ate some crackers before I got out of bed I was fine.

I had a lil bit of nausea for about two weeks at the beginning of my pregnancy. Usually in the afternoon on my train ride home from work. I didn't have any for the rest of my pregnancy.

I said moderate. I had MS constantly from wk 6 - 14 and it was so crippling I missed a ton of work. I never ended up in hospital, so I didn't choose severe, but it sure was difficult to deal with!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
Not bad. It definitely was gone completely after 14 weeks. I got lucky.
nectarine / 2834 posts
Pregnancy 1 (DD) - nausea but it was due to taking vitamins on an empty stomach. I never had it again after taking my vitamin at night for the first time.
Pregnancy 2 (blighted ovum) - really bad nausea but never vomiting starting at 6 weeks. Ended at 7 weeks when ultrasound showed an empty sac .
Pregnancy 3 (miscarriage at 9 weeks) - Absolutely no nausea. Maybe a tiny wave here and there, but nothing of note.
nectarine / 2053 posts
I had all day nausea up until 12 weeks. After that it disappeared. Also, I never threw up.
nectarine / 2765 posts
All day for 5 months. Was moderate I spose since I didn't end up in the hospital from it.

I really didn't have a problem with morning sickness. My biggest problem was hormone-induced migraines, but those didn't start until the end of the first/beginning of the second trimester. In the third trimester for some reason I became more sensitive to smells and would get nauseous from time to time. Strange.

2/2 pregnancies with nasty sickness, ended up on Zofran for half of of the entire pregnancy.

Nausea all day long for about 14 weeks. Never really threw up but just felt gross and hungover all the time.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
No morning sickness with my first. Nauseous maybe 2 days ever.
This pregnancy nauseous pretty much every day from 5-10.5 weeks though I never puked

i voted moderate, but i never threw up. maybe i should have voted mild? just all day, constant nausea, but i was also taking unisom/b6 to ease it.

1st pregnancy- no morning sickness
2nd pregnancy- very sick from week 6 - week 17 (threw up about 5 - 6 times a day)

I had severe morning sickness throughout my entire pregnancy that was heavily medicated and only relented the morning after I gave birth.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
I had severe nausea (throwing up at least 15 times a day, and this was on a good day) until 20 weeks. I was ultimately told I had HG and put on Zofran. I spent most of the beginning of my pregnancy sobbing (I don't handle vomiting well) and over the toilet.

I'm not sure what classifies as mild, moderate or severe but I had fatigue and some nausea. Kind of felt like a 3 month hangover. And for both pregnancies.
