I will say that I don't think that lectures aren't that effective heh.

My parents didn't lecture much. But I didn't really misbehave. I got detention once, because I came to school late too often because I would sleep in when I had a migraine. They couldn't get mad at me for that.

My parents like to "lecture" now.. mostly about how I parent. I post lots of youtube videos for them to watch. Whenever something doesn't sit well with them, I get a call!

Not really when I was a kid, but from the end of high school through college, yes. I never had any behavior problems either. My mom just didn't agree with my choice to date now-DH and some decisions after that.

Oh, yes we did. It was the worst form of punishment ever. I still hate confrontations to this day.

I got loong lectures on everything. Since I was such a goody goody, my only way of rebelling was to stick my tongue out... with my mouth closed... if that makes any sense.
