Yes I did. It was usually used as a last resort. A lot of the time, especially if we were out in public, my parents saying, "Would you like to go out to the car?" was enough to get us to stop acting up, because we knew that if we went to the car, we were getting a spanking.

I did. Maybe 6 times in my life. I remember what I did each time, so maybe it was effective?? I was a good kid though, and mostly, I just got grounded.

A handful of times.. I got empty threats of them alot more than actual spankings.

We had a paddle. It was passed down from generation to generation, and brought over from Italy.

Never used but all dad had to say was that he was getting the paddle & good lord we went running.

Yes I did get spanked. I think it was effective form of punishment because it wasnt overused

I should say that evidence shows that spanking is not good for children in general.

I was, but my sister was more often. I say it was effective for both of us actually, she learned her lesson from being spanked and I knew what not to do by watching her get spanking for doing xyz.

I did get spanked a few times. I had my mouth washed out with dish soap as well. My dad cracked me across the head once, but only because he saw me do it my brother and thought I should see how it felt. I saw stars. There was also a lot of yelling in my family household.

I hope I will be able to hold my temper better then my parents did. I won't say that I will never spank my children, but it will be a last resort. More of a threat, but one that I will follow through with in an appropriate manner.

Never. My mom once threatened to spank my sister when she was about three and my sister shot back, "You don't BELIEVE in spanking." Lol, she was right...

Yup! It was very effective on my brother and me!

I got popped on the butt as a toddler, so I'm told, but no spanking once I was old enough to get more effective and age appropriate punishments. I got slapped twice, and I deserved it both times. I laughed about it with my mom within a few days because hitting is so not my mom's cup of tea and I know she went in her room and cried both times.
