I'm thrilled E is a boy and can't imagine having a girl, but when I was pregnant we were definitely hoping for a girl!
(I know I know all we really want in the end is a healthy baby, but I'll admit I had a preference).

I wanted 2 girls initially, but I'm so happy I have one of each!

I always always always wanted a girl, but when I got pregnant, I suddenly really hoped to have a boy (I want both, but I really wanted to have a boy FIRST). And baby #1 is a boy!! Let's hope I'm as lucky with baby #2 in a few years, haha.

I feel awful admitting this but I really wanted a boy the first time!

I always wanted a girl, so was thrilled when the ultrasound tech said we have a little girl on the way!

I really truly don't care, so agreed I'd be Team Green with DH (who doesn't care as long as it's a surprise!)

I really truly don't care, but DH would really like a boy, to the point that I'm afraid he will be disappointed if we have a girl. We are team green, though, so won't know until the end of July.

I didn't necessarily want one or the other, but when I found out I was pregnant I kneeeew it was a girl!

I wanted a girl and got a girl. If we had another, I would probably wish for another girl but, I would be happy with either. It was important for me to get my girl first because we probably won't have another!!

@Foodnerd81: If it helps, we were TG and both really really wanted a girl...to the point where I was regretting not finding out the gender because I was scared I would be disappointed if it turned out to be a boy and thought I should have given myself time to prepare if it was. The second DH told me it was a boy, though, it immediately clicked--admittedly my first thought was "Huh, I thought you'd be a girl" but very soon after my thoughts were more along the lines of "Of COURSE you're a boy, and you're MY SON" and now I can't imagine having a girl. DH was the same.

We have one of each, but I was pretty excited when we found out our first was a girl. If we go for three (gosh I hope we do!) I am hoping for another girl.

I wanted a boy first and we got him. I wanted a girl second and we got her! It's all about the Shettles method ;D
Although with the second I was intimidated by the thought of a girl since I grew up around all boys. And I wanted to be able to reuse all of Wagon Jr.'s things (we wouldn't have had to buy a single thing!). But I'm so, so happy I have my girl. She is my heart!!

I thought I was having a boy, and I was leaning toward wanting a boy when I found out I was pg . . . DH was leaning toward wanting a girl. When I found out I was having a girl, after the first few seconds of shock (how could I have been so wrong!?), I was totally elated, and now that she's here, I couldn't imagine our little family any other way.

I really and truly didn't care. I felt so lucky to be pregnant.
DH on the other hand wanted a girl, was terrified of having a boy. He was really disappointed when we found out it was a boy. He went to therapy, he got over it, haha

I didnt care. I got a girl and I'm happy. I would have been just as happy with a boy. I REALLY just wanted a healthy baby

@yellowbird: Same here! We didn't care either way, but I just knew she was a girl, and had it been a boy, I would have been happy, but really thrown off.

I really wanted a boy since I grew up with an older brother, I wanted that for my daughter too! But we have a girl and now I couldn't imagine it any other way!

@mrs. wagon: totally agree on the shettles method
DH wanted a boy and I wanted a girl - got my girl! I'd love another girl, for some reason I can't imagine having boys.

We both really wanted a boy and got a boy. I'm really really hoping my 2nd baby will be a girl though! I want a daughter so bad!

We both really wanted a boy first, and we got him!
I was floored when the tech told us that he was a boy, I was 100% sure he would be a girl. We have all boys of similar ages in the family and friends, so I was sure we would have the only girl.
I hope next time around we get another boy, we really want him to get a brother close in age to wrestle with!

When we adopted I really didn't care. I just wanted to be a mom. We got a boy.
With my twins I really wanted a girl but we got two boys
I wanted a girl so we went for it and had our daughter.

I wanted one of each and then to be done. So it didn't matter to me which came first. We got a boy. I am seriously hoping for a girl next but DH wants 4 kids so he hopes we don't get a girl next! He wants his 4 kids. I, on the other hand would be totally satisfied if next was a girl and we closed up shop:)

I didn't care either way, although deep down I think I wanted a girl to dress up and shop for, but for the next time I know we are both really going to want a boy (and to give my dad his first grandson...my sister is prego now and I"m secretely hoping she has another girl!)

We have always wanted a daughter and are both thrilled that she was that for us:) Now, we are unsure if we'll have another, and I think that's easier for me since she is what I "wanted". I don't doubt that DH would have wanted to try again if we had a boy.
