I think mine may have kicked in... I couldn't fall asleep until I vacuumed the entire house last night. SO not like me!

Nope! I had to force myself to get stuff done in the nursery and have been a terrible housekeeper since getting pregnant--I'm very thankful for my mother I've been waiting around for this "nesting" thing to kick in. If you ask my husband he'll tell you I have nested plenty cause I gave him a long to-do list, lol.

@emg86: hahaha! I'm sure my husband would agree that I came down with nesting by-proxy several months ago due to the list I gave him!

My nesting seems to take the form of looking at things to buy or decorate the nursery with, rather than things like cleaning, finishing unpacking, etc. Which is too bad, since the kid can certainly come home to an undecorated or non-color coordinated nursery, but it will suck to bring him or her home to unpacked boxes and an uncleaned house.

Yes! I started cleaning and organizing everything in the house, and tossing out a bunch of "junk" - it was like someone else took over my body and I was just go go go! Once I get into the cleaning "zone", it's hard for me to stop haha.

I created "to do" lists every day and loved checking everything off one by one. I made it my goal to do as many things on my list as possible each day. Yea, I was a little crazy.

LOL I can't say it has ever kept me awake! I did make sure all the baby stuff was organized beforehand but nothing crazy as far as cleaning goes.

I did in a weird, intense way. It was Monday night, my mom was here, and I was cleaning the kitchen. Pretty normal, but then I decided then I decided I just HAD to clean out the Brita Water well-thing. I cleaned out the top part, but then decided that I was somehow going to poison my child if I only cleaned the top instead of the basin as well. Except the top part doesn't like slip out--in the end it took me well over an hour to get the two parts separated, and involved a knife, hot water, cold water, and our freezer.
Meanwhile my mom is sitting at the table laughing at me watching me sit on the floor trying to pry this thing apart and telling me I should leave it and get some sleep. So I yelled at her, which I have never, ever done. I finally got the dang thing apart and deep cleaned it.
I went into labor early the next morning, lol.

Mine doesn't come in the form of cleaning. I want to decorate and create or buy things for LO and I can't sleep or concentrate until I do something. I WISH it came in the form of cleaning! My house would be so much cleaner!!!

Mine comes in fits at starts at the moment - I had the urge to really, really scrub the bathroom the other day and worked so hard I fell asleep for three hrs afterwards! Plus the urge to sort through cupboards and throw things away is strong!! But then other days I don't feel it as much - but I'm only 27 weeks to there's still plenty of time for me to get mad for it!

@Mrs Hedgehog: I got that form of nesting way early, much to DH's dismay. Etsy is the devil!

I did in the fact that I was obsessed with getting Lo's room done, plus I cleaned alot more then normal but I didn't do too much

Yep...during the week before I went into labor I panicked and cleaned the apartment top to bottom.

Not at all until I was laboring at home! Seriously not cool. I wish they had before then to be honest. Back when I had more time but I just didnt have the desire or energy to do anything.

The week before I went into labor, I did. I was 39 weeks and trying to scrub the bathtub in case I wanted to labor in it. Bending over a tub at that size is not exactly easy...

Yes. We moved when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant so I had a lot to do. But I would try to do something and get all excited... Only to quit two minutes in because I was exhausted.

I cleaned and kept our apartment spick and span starting around 4 or 5 months. I bought everything on our "must have before baby arrives" list by 7 months. And around then I also had all of the newborn and 3 month clothes washed and folded and ready to go in the closet.
I don't refer to this as nesting so much as "there's no way I'll ever have time to get our home this clean once the baby comes so I'm going to get things as clean as possible now". A baby's coming. Stuff needs done.
