I totally just found my old blog. I was so depressing back then. All I wrote about were my breakups lol
Did you keep any blogs/myspace/xanga as a teen?

I had a MySpace and a blog on Open Diary. I mostly wrote poetry though. I was a bit ridiculous. I thought I was unloved and misunderstood.

@Leialou: hahaha me too! I had a separate blog for my poetry and it's all depressing. I think all teenage girls think they're unloved and misunderstood.
@highwire: Mine was deleted! I remembered the name of it, but it's not there anymore

No, none of that stuff was really around when I was a teen; THANK GOD. how embarrassing to have all my teen angst forever cached on google. I dodged a major bullet that there was no such thing as Facebook in my teen/early 20's! lol

@yoursilverlining: hahaha!! yeah one of my blog was private but still it's funny to read how dramatic I was.

@Coco Bee: Bummer! I think I found mine a few months ago but haven't checked lately.

@Coco Bee: Mine is still alive and kicking! But I also updated it in 2009 so it isn't that old!

Yeah, that stuff didn't exist yet. I remember using dial-up to chat on AOL. It would take FOREVER for a page to load. I thought it was so cool!

xanga was my first blog! I started it as a junior in high school, back in 2001!!

@Leialou: typical teenager stuff, didn't we all feel we were misunderstood?? haha makes me laugh when i think back on those days! I took a developmental class in college and i learned that as a phase known as "personal fable" and "imaginary audience" where you think everything you're experiencing unique only to you, and that everyone everywhere is watching and caring about what you're doing. That's why teenagers are so moody and self conscious! it blew my mind when i learned that!

I had a LiveJournal (and Diaryland before that, OMG I'm old) AND a Melo... but I never updated my Melo and it was waaaaaaay too emo for me. I don't even know why I signed up.
Hehe, Xanga.

Yup, I had Xanga, AsianAvenue (LOL), Apt107.com, MySpace, Friendster...

As a teen, even into college, email wasn't even as readily available as it is now. I had to get special permission from the math department chair (in college) to get an email account. Then, there was no one to email...believe it or not, we sent each other letters, lol.
So, no, I didn't have any social media. We barely had cell phones then either.

I had Xanga and Myspace. I went a deleted everything from my Xanga a couple of years ago. I read it and can't believe what a potty mouth I had! I deactivated Myspace because it kind of died. haha

Nope. We had aol & I used that to chat with people. A couple friends had livejounals, but I don't remember MySpace til college & refused to participate. I had this holier than thou attitude that anyone making an entire web page about themselves had some seriously narcissistic tendencies & needed to spend more time being interesting than trying to prove that they were to a computer..... Apparently I just didn't see the future of social media. I didn't get a Facebook until I was 23 & a friend was in china during an earthquake and her dad said it was the easiest way for her to communicate with everyone back home... Then I got sucked in! Total fb addict!

HAAAHHAA. Yes. I had a MySpace. It was bad. I thought it was SO cool. I actually just found it recently but couldn't remember how to get in, so I to have it requested to be deleted. Can't wait for another 10 years to pass and see how lame I think my current blog is!

Hah! I had a myspace (it's private, so no google, phew!). I can't log in though.
I also had a livejournal which is a riot to read. That was also private. I wish I could remember these log-ins!

I didn't know much about the internet until I graduated from college. MySpace didn't exist when I was a teen.

There was no such thing when I was a teen! I think AOL came about when I was in HS. I got my first e-mail address when I was a freshman in college (1998).

I had Xanga that I updated regularly, and now can't recall what all I posted! I used to have MySpace, but didn't do much with it.

I was introduced to the Internet when I was 16?
Didn't start using it until I was 20ish. (year 2000)
I started blogging when I was 23-24..
I cringe when I look back on old posts
