We got a play tent for the kids and it was surprisingly tricky to assemble! I usually don't mind assembling things, but it was stressful because the kids could have woken up at any moment and seen Dad assembling gifts left by "Santa"!!
Gotta up my Christmas prep next year. After all was said and done thought, the kids had so much playing in the play tent all day that it all felt worth it!

Yes! We got LO wooden train tracks so we set them up on his train table. We were so tired from a long day so it's not th greatest set up but LO loved it.

Kidkraft kitchen-they don't mess around! Took 3.5 hours and of course we waited until the last minute to do it.

Glitter Glider castle, only took about 20 minutes and it was fairly painless

@catomd00: Us too - I couldn't believe how many pieces it came in! I sent my husband down at 7:30pm to do it, went down at 9:30 and he was surrounded by pieces, on step 21 of 37. It took the two of us together another 45 minutes. It was fun, though, it felt like one of those mandatory parenting moments.

My parents bought a huge cedar swing set for my girls and I DREAD putting it together....The directions say it takes 2 people 8 hours to assemble. That probably means 2 handy competent-with-tools people and I'm not that, so who knows if they'll ever get to play on it

A playhouse for the backyard. It went more quickly than I expected! Her Hape space center had to be built, but it was minor.

@erinbaderin: haha ours only had 24 steps but each step had like 3 sub steps - DH was so mad they tried to trick us! It was definitely a parenting rite of passage and it was fun once it was together and totally worth it!

as we were putting together the kitchen, we were kicking ourselves for not calling the guy who put together our nursery furniture!

@catomd00: we had that one last year. Oy, took me like 7 hours to put together! The worst!
This year the only thing we had to put together was a ballet barre which took maybe 10 minutes. LO got a bike/trike from her godmother but that arrived preassembled!

We got a bright beats but didn't assemble it until after DD opened it. She's 7 months so she doesn't know.

Her doll house but it was surprisingly easy to put together. DH was supposed to do it but I did it in 15 minutes while he slept.

We had to put together the jumbo cardboard blocks, but they didn't get assembled until after they were unwrapped They were a lot more tricky than I realized they would be!

Just the Hape Wonder Walker. Undo two packing screws, install those two elsewhere. Install two more for the handle. Done! 
I somehow don't think next year will be as easy. I foresee a Kidcraft kitchen in our future!

@PrincessBaby: exciting! DH said it took him and FIL 12 hours to put ours together basically two days with breaks.

We had two things ( a slide/ climbing toy and a playhouse) and we only got one done- the slide. He is only 19 months and got lots of other stuff so we will do the playhouse when we get to it. It looked like a pain to assemble and we ran out of time.

we had to assemble a play washer and dryer. My parents just gifted a grocery stand a shopping cart, so we will have that stuff to put together.

Some skyway toy? Little people maybe? D did it in around 20-25 minutes after E went to bed.
