Yes we did- we were watching tv and then at 10pm no power or heat. It was a very cold night !!!! This morning we were too cold to leave the bed so literally we huddled until 5:30 when the power finally came on!! It was extra rough cause I'm pregnant and was starrrrrving and could only eat apples and avocado. At least healthy lol

Yup, and as far as I know we are still without! We tried to tough it out with blankets but left around 7 to go to a friend's who had heat, but no power. Her power JUST came back on, so we are hopeful that ours will come back on today, too. Go figure that it wpuld be the day that the baby gets sick for the first time though! Oh, and I would kill for a hot meal and shower right now! Hoping to get both now that my friends power is back on:)

We didn't! Sorry you did, no fun.. Poor DH was shoveling for a while though - our plow guy didn't come until 7 last night!

we had power the whole time. before the snow started on friday we tried to buy another lantern, but no one had any! all the walmart near us had were tiny flashlights for your keychain, everything else was sold out!

thankfully (and surprisingly) we didn't lose power this time. During the ice storm back in '97 though; totally different story. No power/heat/anything for 11 lonnnnnnnnnnnnng days.

We didn't lose power, unlike in the October storm, when we lost power for 5 days ... one week after our son was born. We ended up staying at a friend's apartment for an evening, then into a hotel for the rest of the time.

It was a very interesting introduction to fatherhood for me, and a very quick introduction to transporting a newborn around in cars and taxis! We called it "Extreme Parenting 101".
