Also, the bad guy was this really sweet hippy dude in the show where Patrick Wilson kept seeing his dead wife...so it really threw me for a loop.

How awesome would it be if Olivia was saved by... Elliott!! Hey a fan can dream. Actually it'd probably be better if she saved herself after a while... then the bad guy could tell her that he's stashed his attorney in a secret hiding place and they spend the episode trying to find her!

My beef with the episode is that this is *at least* the 2nd time a perp has broken into Olivia's apartment. And the second time she was(nearly) assaulted. Stabler saved her both of those times.

*********SPOILER ALERT!!!*********
So I found the episode really upsetting for some reason. I'm not normally that emotional about TV, I swear!! But anyway, Olivia was obviously emotionally involved in that guy. Keen to 'get him' and I started thinking about how hard it must be for her to confront rapists knowing that her mother was raped/she was conceived as a result of a rape. Anyhow, that really had me shaken up. And then at the very end...the idea of multiple generations having to survive rape. Ugh. I just hope that somehow, there is a positive twist to come out next season.

@mrbee: It's funny because when Elliott was on the show, I really didn't like Olivia, but now she seems like a great character.
I actually loved how they had her just hanging out at the beginning of the episode--they never used to do that (in my memory) but it totally makes these characters more human!
Also, do you ever find it creepy to watch these shows set in NYC?

@woodentulip: not creepy at all! They are great cops... I wish all police officers and detectives cared as much as the svu crew!
They used to show a lot of Elliott's home life in the cold opens... so it felt like a nice return to that. Kinda sad to see how empty Cragen's life is! No wonder he was seeing escorts... btw I think he should've resigned over that.

Question...if you think that he should have resigned over that, what about the gambling issue that Rollins had? Not that I am calling my opinion either way, I am just wondering what you might think of a different kind of scandal!

@woodentulip: she's not the head of SVU though!! And escorts are under the jurisdiction of SVU... it just didn't pass the sniff test.
It did seem weird that she's behind on payments though. Seems like that exposes her to corruption if she gets blackmailed at a future point...
