    On time with everything so far, but will have to skip the flu shot this year I think. S recently had an allergic reaction to a scrambled egg that I gave to him, so I'm not sure how that will affect if he receives the flu shot for this season. We're seeing a pediatric allergist tomorrow and will find out more!

    @Mrs. Jacks: Because I'm pretty new to this allergy, what do you do for the flu shot for babies/children who have an egg allergy?

    @2PeasinaPod: most of them tolerate the flu shot well. We had problems with that as well initially. She had a huge local reaction, but otherwise tolerated. Your allergist will walk you through

    @2PeasinaPod: My DD has a pretty bad egg allergy too. She tolerated the flu shot and MMR well! We stayed at the pediatrician's office for another 45 minutes after she got the shots in case she had a reaction. But she didn't at all!

    @Mrs. Jacks: & @banana: Thank you both! He received his flu vaccination yesterday at the allergist and no issues! He'll get his booster when he has his MMR...just need to switch that appointment since they're a little too close right now!

    We have done all vaccinations per our pediatrician's and AAP's recommendations. We plan to continue fully vaccinating and on schedule.

    Fully and on time. Except for the flu shot due to a possible egg allergy (skin reaction) and the need for further testing on that issue.

    @2PeasinaPod: ditto!

    @grizz: That's because nothing is really being discussed, just reported . . .

    We originally were on a delayed schedule. We moved to a new state and have to find a new pediatrician, where we can't find one that offers a delayed schedule... so looks like we are going to be following the "norm".
