My last day of work was Friday and I had her that next Monday, so technically yes, but my last day was going to be that Friday regardless of when I went into labor.

I began my leave at 39 weeks. Since I was taking 16 weeks off, I had to transition my work to someone else & there needed to be a clear-cut handover. I was not happy with my job & was more than glad to get out of there. I worked crazy hours and needed that time to nest. I also knew I would probably not return after my leave & so I wasn't really worried about "using up" my leave.

I'm due on Saturday and am planning on working until I'm in labor! I get ten weeks off work and am not willing to use any of that before she comes unless it's medically necessary. I'm thinking I'll be at work next week, though--no signs that girlfriend is in any kind of rush to make it to the world!

I worked until my due date, but wasn't dilated. Induced 10 days later with a closed cervix.

I worked till my due date (Saturday) then went into labor Sunday night so I never went back to work! Although I had planned on it!!

Yep! Worked until D-day. Was supposed to go to a meeting a few states away but never made it since I went into labor early that morning (at 38+1) so glad it happened before I got on the train because things moved quickly!

Last day of work was the Friday before my Monday due date. Went into labor 1 am Sunday morning. DS was very cooperative.

I worked until 39 weeks as a high school teacher. LO arrived at exactly 41 weeks. I was just too tired to keep working! I didn't have much paid time to take off but it was worth it to me to rest up before labor.

I had PTL with #2 and was put on modified bedrest. I honestly can't remember when my last day was.
#3 came a week a early, I worked that Friday and had her Saturday.

I planned to work right up until my due date, but due to low fluid, I had to stop working two weeks early. This time, I'm planning on my last day being a week and a half before my due date.

I am only 14 weeks but I will be teaching until the end of May when I will be 36 weeks. That's the plan anyway.

I worked Friday and said "I hope I don't see you Tuesday" (I had Monday off by chance). I went into labor Monday night!

I consider myself very lucky that I had a healthy pregnancy where I felt ok enough to work up until the end (I wouldn't go so far as to feel I felt GOOD, but who does working 12 hour shifts on your feet at 39 weeks?). Any time I would've taken before would've come out of my 12 weeks of FMLA, so I am glad that I got the whole 12 weeks with DS and not waiting for him (although at the time I was so tempted to take off early)!

Both, sort of! Worked until labor for my first and still worked from home with my second- I took March off since he was due halfway through since the doctor was sure I would go early. He stuck around until his due date and I was going crazy being stuck at home- there was nothing to distract me from my PTO ticking away.

I worked until I went into labor at 39 weeks. I don't think it would've been all that helpful to take time off beforehand - we were pretty prepared, I felt good and my job wasn't physically demanding, so I was happy to save all my time off for once LO arrived.

I voted other. With LO1 I was technically supposed to take off four weeks before my EDD as per my company's maternity policy (I was working for a French org). However, no one told me about this and I took off just one week before my EDD so as to maximize my maternity leave (I kind of got in trouble over it). LO1 arrived 4 days after my last day.

With LO2, I was working as a freelancer and decided to stop taking work 3 weeks before my EDD so I could enjoy my last weeks of pregnancy and get things done. LO2 arrived early, just 2 days after I turned in my last project!

It's odd for me because I'm a seasonal employee. T arrived on February 21st (his due date) but I was laid off for the season at the end of october. So I had ample amounts of time, although it was all unpaid. Lol

I planned to work up until the Friday before my section was scheduled. She was breech. Went in for my last appt that Monday before and found out my bp was elevated and I had protein in my urine and my Dr was like, "we are having her this week." Went out and rescheduled the section for the next day. I had to leave the appt and call family, go to school and finish lesson plans, and go home and clean. It was quite unexpected, but perfect in the end.

I voted incorrectly...I said a few days before, but I worked until my due date and then took off...LO was ten days late.

I had 12 weeks off regardless of when the baby was born. So I wanted to work as long as possible. My son was due on Sunday, 2/23. I worked from home until Friday 2/28. My water broke at 10pm on Tuesday 3/4. My labor started at 2am on Wednesday 3/5. He was born at 1am on Thursday 3/6.

It was a long week and a half!

I took off the day I turned 39 weeks. I delivered a day shy of two weeks later. I liked having the time to get ready! I did a bunch of spa treatments and relaxed.

I wanted to keep working, but it got to a point where my boss kept asking "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be having a baby soon?". My last day was about 6 days before I got induced.

I had plenty of leave but wanted to save it until after the birth. However, boss convinced me to take time off after my due date. Ended up getting induced that Saturday after working Friday.

Took off four (California state paid). The time aligned with the holidays last year, and I think fondly on the me time I was given....(haven't had any since the baby was born).

I went off 17 days before my due date. I saved a week's vacation, and then planned to start my mat leave a week before my due date just to rest and get things organized for the impending birth.

But leave isn't at such a premium here, since we get a year's mat leave.

I live in California and we get 4 weeks off before our due date. I took off 3 weeks before my due date with my first. This one ... his 4 weeks started right before our holiday shutdown ended so I actually have 6 weeks off before this one is due because of the coupling with the holiday shut down my company has. So nice!
