I've been having constant braxton hicks that started yesterday. They are pretty sporadic. They come in spurts that will be every 2-10 minutes and last about an hour several times a day. Some are a little painful.
Please tell me this is a sign that labor is coming soon!

I did but it went on for a few weeks. I kept thinking it was going to happen, but alas, induced at 41+4

Mine ramped up but then went away completely for like twelve hours before labor began. I had been having enough of them that it was odd to have them just go missing completely. Fingers crossed for you!

@MrsHansen82: I feel like that's what will happen to me. I will schedule an induction for 41 weeks. I'm 38 and 5 today!

Yeah for the final two weeks I had tons of BH. False labor 2 times with timeable and somewhat painful contractions that then just stopped after a couple hours. When real labor started for me it was much more intense though.

@yellowbird: I had BH/real contractions for months and months. Then no signs of labor - I don't think - before I spontaneously went into labor (early!). So don't lose hope! I didn't have any dilation, mucus plug, etc. Bloody show at the hospital after admission.
I think I was moody and Bao kept saying I was going to have her any day. Lo and behold.. Lol.

@sorrycharlie: I'm definitely moody! I have been losing mucous plug but not bloody, so it means nothing. I'm ready for him to get out though! Lol

I'm nearly 38 weeks and had BH today that were very painful and I thought it was labor time! This is my first so I don't have anything to compare it to. I drink a bunch of water though and then they stopped, and they were just in my belly and my front nothing in my back.

@SunshineMcC: I'm in the same boat. I had semi-painful bh every 3 minutes last night for 2 hours but the tapered off. They're back this morning but a lot more sporadic. I'm 39 weeks today!

@yellowbird: 39 weeks - that's great! I had a few more last night and one this morning, so I decided to work from home today - my commute is about an hour, and it's snowing here today, so it'd be a lot longer. I just don't feel comfortable being so far away from the hospital in the event that this is it! I am pounding the water and hoping that helps, because I know I was dehydrated yesterday. Keep me posted!
