I remember us going through paint swatches together so I got his input there but I picked out everything else. My hubby usually goes along with whatever I want anyway.

He didn't really have much input, pretty much it was what I wanted. He did help pick out the paint from Home Depot though.

Yes, my hubby will have equal say in the nursery, but that’s mostly because he’s actually really interested in deciding how to decorate it. If we have a boy, he’s said he wants to get tons of vintage Marvel comics posters to decorate the walls with, which I think would be cool. I think I’ll have more say if it’s a girl.

Not really, I painted the room that is now our nursery when we first moved into the house because the old colour was terrible, so the only thing he said is that he refused to repaint the room again so work with what you chose and I did. Our nursery turned out awesome too, so he's happy and so am I

@artbee: when we moved in the room was spiderman blue (because their little one LOVED spiderman apparently) so I just covered it with a much lighter blue (like a sky blue colour). Since we're team green I went with blue and yellow as our colour combo so I just added a large yellow border with white, green and blue polkadots in it. I'll see if I can upload pics.

We really haven't gotten that far yet, but since we live in rentals, and will be moving shortly before the birth, the room will be pretty basic. He wasn't voiced any opinions yet on what theme we should go for with Linens yet, but I haven't brought up the topic either.

Oh, totally...Well, sort of. He let me do/buy whatever I wanted but if he didn't like it, we would go back to exchange it. He is the most laid back person on earth so if he actually had an opinion about a colour or pattern, then I took him seriously!

@artbee: Haha...Not really. He didn't like the dresser I picked out (so he found one we both liked), and he picked out the paint colour for the walls (a soft minty green). Other than that? It was all me!

If he doesn't like something, he says so. He really didn't like my idea of gray walls. That got poo-pooed. We will agree on a color we both like and then I'll pick out the stuff that will go in the room and he'll tell me if he hates anything.

Nope! He didn't really have much say in decorating the whole house! He really doesn't care,or think about those things. I do run my ideas by him, but he always says that it sounds good!

I asked his opinions on things but really he didn't have that much say because he didn't really care that much. If there was something he didn't like he'd say when I showed him before I bought and he does like naturey things and monkeys so I got some ideas from him.

DH and I have actually talked about this. TTC next year so this came up one time. I told him he can pick what he wants if its a boy even though I know already what he wants. If its a girl, I get to pick. He jokes that he doesnt like my idea for a girls room. But he is JK, because its pink and frilly. Very vintage chic. For a boy he said he wants a Dr. Suess theme. DH LOVES Dr. Suess. Which we could do for a girl too. But I just want a vintage nursey for a girl. Either way would be so fun.

When we are at that point, he will definitely have a say.

He didn't really care but he did help me pick out the crib. He also hung up the wall decor, but other than that, he really had no other input.
