DD screams when she goes in hers. It is fitted fine but she is unhappy going in or coming out of it. Once she is settled in it she is fine. Hoping she will learn to like it - the crying kills me

How old? I think that could be a huge factor!
As E got older, she disliked her infant seat more and more. She's 100% content in her convertible, though

LO never really took to the infant car seat. he'd be okay going in but inevitably there would be crankiness and meltdowns during the drive. the convertible car seat has been much better, i think because it's more upright and higher, so he can see more. he's not a big fan of being forced to recline (like in the infant car seat).

Yep! R hated it from the beginning. Cried the whole time unless she would fall asleep. Which was rare cause she wouldn't fall asleep when she was so worked out. But by 7-8 weeks it started getting better.

Like the PPs, our LO never loved her infant seat, but she loves her convertible!

She didn't seem to like it (or going anywhere, easily overstimulated and fussy) as a nb and then got used to it although I wouldn't say she actually liked it...she got from a to b usually without crying. Now she has a limited tolerance for her convertible. This probably started a couple months after the switch so I don't think it has anything to do with the type of seat. Usually five to ten min (even while entertained)) and that's it!

We have 2 different seats - 1 he likes and 1 he hates. We try to use the 1 he likes more often just to keep him happy. But either way, he's happy if we're moving.

Hated hated hated. I in turn hated going anywhere because it was pure screaming. Then randomly one day she fussed, fell asleep, and it's been much better since. Mommy brain is fuzzy but I think it was somewhere between 11-15 weeks old?
