In my culture, second baby showers/sprinkles are frowned upon, so I won't be having one. I'm ok with that, I've had enough showers and parties!
A friend of mine is pregnant with her second and I was hoping she'd have another shower because I missed her first one. But doesn't look like that's going to happen. Oh well.... I'll just have to come up with a fun gift to give her even if there's now shower.

I'm wondering the same thing. My best friend wants to throw me another shower and I feel bad! She said it'll be different cause this time we're having a girl. But still....seems inappropriate? I dunno.

One of my friends asked me the same thing, I would like one, just for the clothes, but I doubt it will happen.

Probably not, I think the consensus among my family and friends is baby shower only for the first. But hosting my own Sip n See for #2 might be fun!!

@banana: I think it's fine! Especially if you call it a sprinkle and just have something little. I think you're friends right, you'll need new stuff if you're having a different gender than your first!

I don't think that I will have one & I'm okay with that. I had 3 for DD & still feel blessed for that 
I do feel a bit sad that this baby won't have the shower scrapbooks & pictures but I am sure our family & friends will be too kind & this baby will be spoiled too

Where i am it is frowned on for #2 and seen as gift grabby. The only exception is if you didn't have one for #1. This happened to a friend of mine who had #1 a month early.

I don't plan on having one! I have everything I need already. If we have a boy, it might be nice if people just gave me some clothes though

2nd showers wouldn't go well in my family, but my best friend aka Sienna's godmother wants to throw a party. She will probably do it after the baby is born so that it gives reason for people to come. (and not just to give gifts)

I kind of want one since this one's a girl!! What's more fun than a super girly baby shower and girly little gifts?!?! Our first shower was a huge co-ed bash with BBQ, beer, and games. But the people who threw me my first one all either don't live in the area or don't have children yet, so I don't think anyone will be throwing me one.

I haven't even had one, but I don't plan to have a shower for a second baby. To me it seems kind of gift-grabby... but my SIL just had a second shower for her second baby so... who knows what my husband's family will plan.

I dunno, I didn't have a shower for my wedding or first child, but I don't have a problem if someone else has them. If I felt weird or that the parents to be were being gift-grabby, I'd just get them something small.
That being said, if we have a second, we won't have a shower either. I will host a sip and see, though.

It's looked down upon in my area to have a second even if its a different gender. People tend to think it comes off greedy, and I do agree.
I always bring a small gift when we visit the baby after he/she is born.

Yeah, I heard its frowned upon to have a second shower. But I think there are definitely exceptions... For ex. If u got pregnant much later and u no longer have any baby stuff and/or if the baby is the other sex. But I have heard of sprinkles so obviously, people have them!

I didn't have a shower with my first (I lived far away from my family and wasn't going to be home before the baby arrived), but my aunt wants to have a diaper party for this one. It will be a family thing.
We will have a BaByQ in the summer for people to come see the baby- we did the same thing with our first and it was a lot of fun! No presents, just a chance for people to come and see the new baby and eat lots of barbecue.

It's pretty common in my area to have baby showers for every child; having said that, I didn't have a shower for #1 and I didn't have one for #2, either. It was a little disappointing, but such is life, I guess.
However, my mom's sorority threw HER a shower for both of MY kids, lol. They're all older ladies with grandkids of their own, so they throw grandma showers!

We are doing a meet the baby open house type of thing for baby #2 for our friend. She is team green again so hopefully by doing something after the baby is here, she will get either some blue stuff she needs or lots more diapers!
