When I am pregnant I think it might be nice to have an elective ultrasound and invite my mom and MIL to come. DH thinks that is sort of weird.

I want to take my mom to the next scan because I know it will make her happy, and my family is going through some rough things right now.

I think my MIL would love to go to one of my ultrasounds, but I think having DH there is enough.

DH was deployed for my first pregnancy, so I took my mom to my 12 week appt in case something was wrong. She also paid for an elective 4D ultrasound later on. She was the only one to go to any appts with me.

My mom went to my nt scan because DH couldn't come. It was the first time she got to see an ultrasound!

We did, it was a great experience. We did an elective at 30 weeks (in my opinion one of the best times to see what they look like!). My parents and my brother came into town for it and we facetimed with my IL's so everyone could see.

Just us. I get uncomfortable with people seeing my pregnant belly.

My mom came when she was visiting from out of town

We invited my MIL and FIL to our elective gender scan because MIL wanted to be at an u/s. They ended up not being able to come because of weather but were really looking forward to it.

My MIL came to my anatomy scan. She'd never seen a ultrasound, and was super excited to be there. I would have invited my mom, too, but she lives across the country.

Basically my mom asked if she could come. She said her friends told her she just HAD to "meet" her granddaughter and get to see her in real time at an ultrasound, and I wasn't planning to have any more ultrasounds after 20 weeks. She was going to be in town the weekend before anyways, so I said that was fine. Then she told my dad and he was like "I'm coming too!" haha. I felt a little weird about it, mostly just wondering if the staff would think I was a weirdo for bringing my mom and dad. But it was totally fine! And they were sooooooo happy to be there. I was glad I took them

My mom came to one I had at 35 weeks (for low lying placenta check) because she was in from out of town and I thought it would be fun! Saved DH from taking time off work, or going alone

My mom and stepkids came to one (an elective). It was fun! The place I went to had a big-screen tv and chairs for guests.

DS is coming to my ultrasound on tuesday with DH.

My mum came to all my scans, dh came to the "big" ones - dating scan, anatomy and I had to have growth scans near the end of my pregnancy which dh had to miss because they could only be scheduled for certain times when dh was working so my mum came with me to those ones.

I only had 3 (really should have had two but they couldn't get a certain measurement at the second so I got the third), and it was only DH and me. It felt like a pretty private moment and we are fairly private people, so I definitely wanted it to just be us.
However, if he couldn't come for some reason, I would probably have wanted someone else with me. I also might have C come when we have #2, if she is old enough to understand.

My mom was at a couple, only because I had them at the diagnostic imaging center that she works at.

We had an elective scheduled to find out the sex and had our two best friends invited along. We ended up finding out at a doctors appointment beforehand so only DH has been to any. I'm 39 weeks and I doubt I'll be getting anymore ultrasounds. lol

At the end I had them twice a week. DH couldn't make it to all of them so one of my best friends took me.

DH and DS2 were the only people who came to my ultrasounds.

I had a lot of ultrasounds...
I went by myself to three, DH came to four and my grandma came to one that my husband thought he couldn't make, but it turned out that he did come. At the end, I essentially had to pee so bad that I needed somebody to come so they could drop me off at the door and park my car so I could just waddle straight to the room.
The only awkward part was the end when it was time to stand up, and I wasn't wearing pants, so I was like "I think I'm allowed to get up now", nobody moved. "Ok, I'm getting up"... nobody got the hint. Finally I was just like... "Get out, I'm not wearing pants!"

I would have my mom come with, but she won't be around for any of my appointments. I don't think I could handle my MIL in the room - but now I'm curious if she would be interested in coming? So I don't know.

Nope, that's just for DH and me. I share pictures with my mom and MIL, but not the actual appointment.

Nope. Just Hubs. Maybe if I had an elective one, but I don't want more than medically necessary.

My dad came to my last u/s at 30 weeks. He lives across the country and it had been 25 years since he saw an ultrasound, It was nice but beforehand I had wondered if it was weird for him to go,

My mum came to all my ultrasounds. Dh and my dad came to the big ones but missed the smaller ones. I would have loved to have FIL at the ultrasounds but he just lives to far away.

Just DH for our 3 ultrasounds, but my sister did come to a regular appointment when she was on military leave so she could hear LO on the doppler. She left for basic 2 days after we found out we were expecting, so it was nice to have her in on a bit of it since she's missing the entire pregnancy and leaving the country shortly after LO's arrival.

My sister came to the one where we found out nene was a girl. I was SO sick and my husband was out of town. I felt like that was something I wanted to share with someone.

My mom came to on, my youngest sister to one, and my best friend came to several! I didn't go to any by myself because the one I went to the first time, I found out we lost the baby, so someone was with me whenever dh couldn't come.
