Has anyone DIY'd a hair bow organizer? Or, do you have an easy way to store bows?
I am thinking about making this one. If you've made one you like, please share a link to instructions!

Third picture in on the slideshow has one that I pinned a while ago when I had the baby fever.
I like the idea (letter and two ribbons) but would probably decorate it differently.

@babybean404: I made 2, one for each of my girls. For one of them, I bought a cheap, matte silver frame from Ikea. Just a regular rectangle. For the other, I found a cute unpainted more girly design at Michael's, so I spray painted it matte silver. I used to same ribbons on both--thinner ribbon than what you have pictured. I just hot glued it to the back. They are still working 3 years later!

@Anagram: OK, glad to hear the frame idea is working. Do you have these in each of your girls' rooms? I have a 2.5 year old and a 5 week old, and I am imagining that they will be sharing bows once the younger one gets more hair (but maybe not?).
I'm thinking about maybe putting the organizer downstairs by the front door since it seems like we accumulate bows downstairs anyway. Do you think that would work for 2 girls?

@babybean404: Our girls share a room, so they are mounted side by side on the wall near the changing table (which is by their closet), because that's where they get dressed and where we do hair each morning. But you could put it wherever it works for you. I'm at work now, but can snap a quick pic when I get home.

When our second was little, we had tiny infant bows and our toddler had bigger bows. But now share bows but we have so many they take up both bow holders plus an extra bow ribbon.

I bought a frame at Hobby Lobby, then DH screwed in hooks, spray painted it, and then glued ribbon on. She outgrew it when the bows got bigger. New baby I just changed out the ribbon. The older one has hers on bow holders I got on Amazon.

@Smurfette: Mine are exactly like your first pic. And we have one bow ribbon like your bottom pic for the biggest bows.

I have a DIY on that is similar to the second one that @smurfette posted. It's a board 1x4 about 2 feet long. Painted it and attached 5 drawer pull knobs. I then used grossgrain ribbons. Two of them of different widths. I stacked them on top of each other and sewed across them about every 4 inches so that the bow clips couldn't slide all the way down the bow. I also sewed a loop at the top to attach to the knobs. I wish I would have used circles like in her post! My ribbons are about 4 feet long. So about 20 feet of bow hanging goodness. I'll see if I can find a picture.

I bought one of those memo boards and have all her bows on that. It holds a lot! Similar to this one:

My SIL made me a super easy one, which is basically some pretty ribbons tied to an extra hanger. I keep it in the closet, so the display isn't as important to me.
It's pretty much like this one, but without the name plaque.

On the back of the bathroom door I placed a ribbon attached to the top of the door and the bottom of the door . Simple and easy and right where I need them.

I made simple ones for my girls. I decoupaged (using mod podge and trimming with an exacto knife) a letter from Michaels with scrapbook paperthat matched their rooms and added a couple of pieces of ribbon to the back with hot glue.

@rattles: oh I like this idea. I need to remember it when LO2 outgrows hers.
