My parents do, no questions asked. Will even volunteer if I say she needs to be changed. IL's never have and I don't think ever will. I don't think I have ever seen them do it with the nephews either.

I don't have my LO yet, but my MIL totally volunteers to change my SIL's newborn all the time. My parents probably would never! I'm totally going to take advantage of my in laws generosity.

My mom does, but usually only if she's alone with LO. My dad never has and probably never will. My ILs never have and honestly they would probably put it on incorrectly causing a leak so I'd prefer they not do it!

My parents do in a heartbeat but my ILs only do it if they're alone with R.
nectarine / 2152 posts
Both my parents and MIL do all the time! But we have two at once so there's double the diapers to be changed

My inlaws do - obviously they do when they look after her but they will also offer to do it if they are visiting us. My mum has never changed her nappy - she says she's too scared. Sigh.

Yes-when I'm with my mom or sister they always change the diapers. My MIL does too.

I'm sure when the time comes my mom will, she's a pro I wouldn't let my MIL & FIL would never even consider it. My dad probably would.

My mom and MIL will without being asked. FIL (who raised two boys) says he's a little uncomfortable changing little girl diapers. My dad hasn't volunteered yet, but I think he would if necessary (and DD is only 4 weeks old so there hasn't been much time to test out that idea).

Absolutely - they all do, esp since she stays
over at both of their homes. Then it would really be a problem if they didn't

My MIL will, but I actually don't like it when she does. Frankly, she doesn't do a very good job cleaning up and since we also use gdiapers it is a bit more complicated and she doesn't usually put them on right.

My mom does all the time. My dad has, but only if no one else is available. My in-laws never have.

My mom does and will take him for a change without me asking. My MIL never has, she will give him to me if he needs changing. And she stayed with us for a week to help out a couple weeks after he was born and never did one, kind of annoying.

My parents will change them if they are babysitting. My FIL won't...he has only changed one diaper in his life! My MIL will change them if she is in a good mood.

My step-MIL surprised me on Christmas and changed DS's diaper! Without me even saying anything! She does have 3 kids and I think she kinda misses having a little one around. Her youngest just turned 11.

The grandmas will, the grandpas won't. That's what I expected though, so it doesn't bother me.

My mom has changed lots of M's diapers. I'm sure my dad and ILs would all do it if asked. They don't watch M alone though, and if I'm there it's easier to just do it myself.

My parents will...they did a lot when me and DS lived with them after I split from my ex. I'm sure MIL would, but I would never expect FIL to...and I wouldn't want him to do it, either.

MIL does but she also watches her twice a week. FIL and SMIL never have and never will. My mom and older sister change diapers.

My mom, MIL, FIL and stepmother with...my dad I'm sure only would if he absolutely had to!

My mom LOVES to change her diaper. No complaints about that! MIL isn't around often but definitely would if the need arose. Dads...no way!
pomegranate / 3003 posts
My mom happily offers and has no issues doing so. My dad jokes that grandpas are allergic to poop, but I know he'd do it if I asked. My in-laws never offer, but I imagine they would if we left them alone to babysit.

My mom loves diaper changes. Dad says he's off the hook because he's Grampa now (but if he was babysitting alone he would). In-laws = never.

No one has ever offered to change her diaper. Not even right after she was born and I was still having trouble getting around. I'm still a bit bitter about it!

My mom always hops up and volunteers.
My in laws never have, and I never want them to.

My MIL wouldn't even when she watched him for over 5 hours. Yup, sat in a wet diaper all day.

@grizz: I can't imagine why you wouldn't want your MIL to change a diaper
nectarine / 2973 posts
@brownie: same thing has happened with my dad! It's like dude, would you want to sit in the same diaper for 5+ hours?? One time he left it for so long that he picked her up and pee leaked out all over him haha

Sometimes my SIL will ask if she can change M and I always gladly oblige!
coconut / 8681 posts
Both grandmas volunteer to do it whenever we're with them!! None of the grandpas do.
honeydew / 7586 posts
My parents frequently change diapers. The ILs never have although I think FIL would if absolutely necessary.
honeydew / 7917 posts
They don't voluntarily change diapers. My FIL avoided diaper changes unless he noticed that LO pooped.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
Yes, both sets do. My MIL actually has a thing about diapers! She always thinks LO needs her diaper changed!
clementine / 830 posts
Only the grandmas! My FIL will help my MIL do it sometimes if it's a messy one. I think my dad has watched from the sidelines once haha.
