Separately - because we used to use different types of laundry detergent. But, now we use the same kind and I do our clothes separate still because he gets all greasy and dirty at work and I don't want my nice clothes getting ruined!

@JennyLayneAZ: Oh yeah, I forgot that another reason is that we use different laundry products. DH really likes things with a scent, but I'm allergic to that stuff. I've slowly changed us over to both using free and clear stuff, but he still likes his scented dryer sheets and I don't want that stuff on my clothes.

We used to have separate laundry, but when our first LO arrived, I just took over doing it all, so we combined. Ugh.

Together. I'm a SAHM so I usually do it all.

Combined. We have two hampers in our closet. One for colors and one for whites. We run the colors once a week and the whites every other week or so. It's usually whoever thinks of it first that starts the laundry. I'll usually remind DH to let me load it in the dryer since I have clothes that are hang dry.

When we got married we made a deal, I would handle all the laundry and he would be the kitchen cleaner (yeah I totally got the better end of the bargain). So normally combined, but sometimes we do it separately because DH needs something right then, or within a timeframe that doesn't work with my laundry plans, then its his job to do his own. He never ever ever does mine because he doesn't separate darks, lights, or anything, plus I don't dry everything, basically I don't trust him with my clothes!

We combined everything together.

everything is combined(except for LOs clothes). it would take forever to get enough for a load if it was just us washing them separately

Definitely combined...so I can get DH to do it!

@Freckles: I just throw all my clothes in one big load - as does DH! It seems all my clothes are dark anyway and after an initial wash they don't bleed so I wash it together. If I have whites I will hand wash, but I own less than 5 white things.
DH as well washes all his clothes together.
We do a separate load for towels/sheets since that as well is a huge load, and a separate load for J's clothes.
I promise we don't waste water - we fill that washer to the brim with every load!

Separate. I remember deciding this is premarital counseling and high fiving afterwards. We just like it better that way.

Separate....just because it's always been that way. My dh has always done his own laundry (his whole life) and I'm too afraid to let him touch mine.

Separate-we do our own laundry and I don't exactly trust DH to sort and hang dry my delicates.
