Not necessarily "soul mates," but I believe 100% that DH is the man God created just for me. We're a perfect match.

I do, but I don't think it has anything to do with who we fall in love with. I think my dog is my soulmate. From the moment I picked him up at the rescue it was like we were meant to be. It's like he can read my mind and always knows what I need. I realize that sounds crazy.

Nope. I believe that you can find love and have an amazing relationship with more than one person on this planet. Every day I wake up and choose my husband because he's the one I want to make it work with!

@ladybee: Aww, that's really cute
I agree with @mrsjazz and I don't believe in soul mates. I think there are many many many many people in the world that you can be super compatible and deliriously happy with.
I'm a scientific person, so I look at numbers. In a world of over seven billion people, the odds of anyone meeting that one person that is their only soul mate is slim to none. Heck, if you put together all of the people I have met in my lifetime, it is only the tiniest of tiny fraction of the people in the world.
My husband and I are choosing to be together. As we grow as a couple I learn more and more about him and love him very deeply. I'm closer to him than I am with any other person and I don't want to be with anyone else but that doesn't mean we are soul mates.

@TemperanceBrennan: Exactly this, and very eloquently said.
Although I do think the chances of meeting someone better suited for me are slim...but I chose him and choose him everyday.

I believe if I didn't find DH I could have been happy with someone else, so no, I don't believe in soul mates. But it is crazy weird how similar DH and I are and how well we do match.

@FutureMrsMcK: I agree with exactly how you said that - a marriage is all about choice. Every day we choose each other, which is what makes us work. Not because of a great design, God's plan or fate/destiny.

No, I don't believe in them. I just believe that I've found a really great match for me, but there are probably other great matches out there, too!

@mrsjazz: I couldn't have said it better myself!
I don't believe in soul mates because I know several guys I could have married and probably been happy with and chosen to love - but I chose DH and now He is the one for me... not to say he's the only one I could ever be with, but he's the one I chose so that makes him "the right person".

Ok I'm going to be a silly romantic and say yes, I believe DH is my soul mate or whatever you want to call it. He's not perfect but he's perfect for me.

I do!
I once played matchmaker and set up two people. I had known the guy for years but had literally spoken to the girl for 30min when I had the epiphany that she should meet my friend. The story is very romantic, but the short version is that it was love at first site and they got married. I should mention I met the girl in Paris, they met each other for the first time in Beijing, and now live in my hometown in Missouri. It's totally crazy. I blogged it, but don't think I'm allowed to post the link. If anyone wants to read it, I would be happy to wall post it to you.
