I burn myself pretty regularly. Today I was opening the oven and pulling out that middle grill using a dish cloth, and I burned my thumb. It hurts! I guess I'm just clumsy/not careful enough.
Are you as clumsy as I am?

YES! I sliced the side of my thumb yesterday while cutting an apple.
For me it's definitely just clumsiness. I also regularly have scrapes/bruises on the lower half of my legs from walking into things (like the corner of a coffee table, the corner of the opened dishwasher door, and any other evil pointy corner of anything).

All the time, I'm so clumsy. I hope our LO doesn't take after me!

Only when I'm pregnant! I swear the baby makes me so clumsy. Happened last time around too- dropping things, touching hot pans- I become a total airhead!

I cook more often now than I ever did before and expected lots of cuts and burns. So far I've been super lucky but had some close calls.

Only when I'm being careless, like using a dishtowel instead of an oven mitt or last week when I was using a butter knife to slice cheese while holding it in my hand. Yup, tried to slice my finger off with a butter knife....

Yes! My worst one was when I was 36 weeks pregnant and I set a boiled pot of pasta on my tummy. I burnt it so bad, I still have the scar. It looks awful. And I don't even know what possessed me to set the pot on my tummy! Doh!

Yes! I mainly get oil burns from frying steaks. Those oil poppers hurt like crazy! I always have to wear long sleeve shirts. Otherwise i get small oil burn dots on my arms!

i'm fully aware of my clumsiness, so i try to be extra careful in the kitchen. i still burn food from time to time, but it's been a while since i've burned myself.
even when no one else is around, i still say "HOT" out loud when i accidentally touch a hot pan or something

Not often but I did cut the base of my thumb while trying to cut chicken really quickly b/c my LO woke up and was crying hysterically. I didn't want to leave the chicken there in fear that once I get my LO I won't have time to finish cutting and clean it up. I also wanted to get the slow cooker going so I'll have dinner! I hate cuts on the hand, especially when I wash it so frequently with taking care of two kids.
