We used to buy each other gifts every year. But now that we're all a bit older with kids, we usually just do a nice dinner for everyone's birthday... esp since everyone has birthday parties for their kids, and we buy them gifts instead!

I have a few friends who buy gifts for me so I do too in return. But honesty old rather not, I wish we would both just save our money!

My friends are all over the place and most don't have babies. I don't think we ever exchanged gifts for birthdays.. We just went out and ate well.

We take each other out for lunch or something. Used to be big dinners, but with kids..it's not so easy.

I have a group of four girlfriends and one year I bought nice gifts for each of their birthdays and went out of my way to organize a dinner for them. When my birthday came and with it NOTHING from any of those girls, I stopped trying. We're still close friends but when it comes to gifts and stuff, I stopped.

Nope. We usually do a lunch/dinner. This year though, I did send a gift card to one of my out of state bfs and bought lingerie for my intown gf, and plan to gift my other gf for her bday. They were all BMs and it's been a while since I've been able to do something special, so I wanted to do it this year

I usually get gifts for a couple close friends but usually we just celebrate friends birthdays with dinners or date nights out

We just take them out to nice/fancy dinners, and if they've mentioned something they've been wanting, we get it for them. Otherwise, just dinner.

No, we do dinner or lunch and I will pick up the tab but we have stopped gifts awhile ago! It was getting too expensive!

We do drinks and dinner. I only buy gifts for my BF as she lives across the country.

Nope! For friends with kids, I get their kids bday gifts instead. For friends without kids, we will usually do dinner or drinks.

Yes, my close friends and I still do gifts for each other. DH and I will be the only ones in these circles with a LO, so I don't see that changing until more join our train.
