I don't...I am working to get better at this. I always check on him on the monitor, but sometimes I feel like I should do a physical check.

Every night. I can't sleep without that check. I still check on my 7 year old as well.

Only on the monitor. When we only had an audio monitor though I always had to check or I wouldn't be able to sleep.

On the monitor. I watch her until I see her breathing or she moves. I don't want to go in and risk waking her!
When she was sleeping in our room I would squat next to te RnP in the dark to see it listen for her breathing and check that her swaddle wasn't in her face. Then Dh would do the same when he came in.

Just on the monitor. Like @foodnerd81, I don't want to wake him. I watch until he moves or I can see him breathing and then go to sleep. I do pretty much the same thing every time I wake up during the night.

I do. He always kicks his blankets off so I go in and cover him up so he won't be cold.

On the monitor, sometimes I go in and steal a kiss.

With DD, I usually go straight to bed after putting her down. Lately she's been impossible to get down before 9 because of two to three bottom teeth peeking through. That and she has to have the house completely and utterly dark and quiet. Ugh.
With DS pre-toddler rails, I just plopped him in his crib, he'd put himself to sleep, I'd see him in the morning. No fuss. No monitor. Now woth the toddler rails I often have to walk in, make sure he's in bed and okay. Otherwise I lay in bed awake for 20 minutes before falling asleep. It's just quicker to check on him and know.

Of course! Not so much because I'm paranoid (even though I'm sure I am), but because I just like seeing him one more time

Every night, sometimes multiple times per night! I always go and put a hand on her chest, even if I can see/hear her breathing, and then run my hand over her hair a few times and whisper that mummy loves her. Sometimes her eyes flicker open briefly but she just rolls over and goes back to sleep. I can't sleep unless I've checked on her!

We check the monitor before we go to sleep. Every now and then we'll sneak in as quietly as possible to look at him, but it's rare (and usually on days when there are bad stories about babies/kids on the news). He's a super light sleeper, though, so it's not something we do on the regular.

Yes, I check every night before I go in to sleep. The monitor is also on my nightstand so when I hear a noise, I tend to stare at it to see what she's doing.

Yes! She sleeps in PNP next to.me, so I check on her several times a night

Yup. I've even gotten into bed and then gotten back out to check. But he's in room right across the hall & we don't use a monitor. It doesn't really matter though, because he always wakes up at 10pm, right as I'm drifting off to sleep!

Yes! I always search around on her floor and find all of the binkies she's dropped on the floor. I replace them in her crib in hopes that she'll sleep for longer. She'll wake up yelling if she finds she's lost all of her binkies!

I always put my hand on her back to feel her breathe and whisper I love her.

Yes, but we rarely if ever use a monitor, and we leave his door open so I just peek real quick before going to bed.

No. My daughter's room has a really loud door, and it would likely wake her up.

Noway! She's a crazy light sleeper and our house creaks! I'd wake her up just by walking downstairs and opening her door. However, I check her monitor frequently.

Yep, every night. We don't have a video monitor so I go in a couple times before bed.
