We started co-sleeping at 6 months old when my son needed more food and wanted it in the middle of the night. I worked full time and I just couldn't get up 3 times a night to nurse him. He still sleeps there with us at 17 months old.

Co sleeping freaks us. Both out. Thankfully, we have a good sleeper (so far) and never needed to sleep with her. She slept in our room for 3 months. Now she sleeps in her room.

Yes, and I swore I would NEVER do it. But here I am with LO in bed every night. She refused her bassinet early on and it was the only way to calm her down and get her to sleep. Hopefully e can transition her into her crib, in her own room eventually. I don't even want to say "soon" since I kno it's not going to happen. Plus DH thinks its too soon to have her sleep by herself, although he sleeps on the couch.

Yep, we have the pack n play set up in our room for now. We'll transition as necessary, but for sure the first few months I want to co-sleep.

I was one of those who said they'd never bedshare....yep, I've had to eat my words! (I always planned on co-sleeping with a bassinet next to the bed).
He sleeps better and longer....and I don't even have to get up (or really even stay awake) to nurse him so its a win-win.
We take naps together too. It's pretty much my most favourite part of my day.
