I really don't like doing that. But what am I supposed to do if their parent isn't in the room? We were at a party and the playroom is upstairs, away from where the guests were. There were some 4 year olds playing and LO is 2. Some of the kids were playing with fake swords, and hitting each other with them. And then one of them hit LO.
Not ok. First of all she's little so they need to be gentle with her, and second of all I don't want her thinking it's ok to hit. I wish I would have remembered what we learned in music class in the new version of Little Bunny Foo Foo, which is for her to say, "stop! Don't hurt me!" That way I could have used this to teach LO how to stick up for herself, and what she should do in this situation. Instead I just said, "please don't hit LO." And they did stop.
